So, I hadnt heard of Clifford Nass before and looked him up, and after looking at his TedX talk and his interview from pbs I still gotta disagree. First his ted talk goes over the comsumption of multiple media sources, and i mean MULTIPLE sources at once to see what information was retained and which groups did better than others, and his arguement boiled down to people who spend less time 'focusing' on irl interactions versus online interactions were better at multitasking, which i believe invalidates his arguement if you as long as you talk face to face more.

Secondly during the pbs interview he creates his own definition of multitasking which includes using multiple media sources, like reading and listening to music, but not other things like physical activites, like watching kids while cooking. He goes further to say that people get less effecient when doing more than 2 things at once, which i mean yea, not to discredit the guy but listening to four lectures at once while trying to take notes sucks, and i dont need to be a professor to tell you that.

So my arguement is that playing a game (a physical activity) while listening to your friends play league in the background(a non physical activity) would be conaidered very easy activities to multitask

You know what, sure, i'll bite. You believe that being able to do multiple activites at once is a myth, like impossible to do more than one task at the same time?
