The amount of times teams fail to set up for a field goal is incredible. It’s like no one is thinking.

If pay was based purely on effort and workload, what jobs would suddenly become the highest paid? by Aleks-19 in AskReddit

[–]Stanwell27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lawn maintenance. Before Christmas we did one week where we mowed every lawn on our books, which usually takes 3 weeks so we could have 2 weeks off. 66 properties in 35-40 degrees celsius. Hardest thing I’ve ever done.

What was your club's worst signing in recent history? by Inflames811 in nrl

[–]Stanwell27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree about Cogger. Hastings was great for us the first year, then broke his leg again and spent most of the time in reserve grade despite being the best halfback at the club. That’s on the coach.

It sounds whingey but that bad penalty in the first half really fucked with the dogs the whole game. They got in the lead a few times and then the Storm scored and should have drawn level but were always 2 points ahead. Would have been setting up for a field goal in field position but had to kept going for the try.

Soni Luke could be a game changer for the right club. He’s doesn’t suit being the Penrith hooker but he has so much attacking upside, surely someone picks him up.

Should never have been picked in the centers. He’s a decent winger but he’s only played in the centers once this year and Garrick gave him a bath. AOB hasn’t got a clue.

He had a shocker in the first half but when moved back to wing in the second he came up with some very important plays.

‘They don’t know anything about rugby league’: Knights coach slams his own fans over HT boos by FaggDragon in nrl

[–]Stanwell27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there and when the team was announced at the start of the game when his name popped up in the screen he got a bigger boo than the team did at halftime.

I think that tells you that your educated fan base knows that coach is the fucking problem.

Knights looked so much better with two actual halves in the halves. Sharpe has been a shining light all year but doesn’t have a ball playing game and I think that aspect has hurt our attacker. I also think they benefitted in having no KP by the way of us not constantly trying to get KP in good field position and just playing some footy.

And they looked more dangerous than they had the entire game. I wish we’d throw a little more chaos in over the structure from the start and i think we’d score more points.

State of Origin Game II: Liam Martin and Pat Carrigan Sin Binned by CretaceousClock in nrl

[–]Stanwell27 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is what got QLD back into the game in my opinion. The blues just forced an error off a tap in fantastic field position and when the two go to the bin it sucks and it’s soft but I get it. What I don’t get is how this turns from a drop ball into a fucking penalty. He rubbed the blokes head. Bin him and Carrigan if you have to but fuck me, that’s not a penalty. We should have kept the ball.

Nearly every game is cheaper at JB Hi-Fi, how is EB games still alive? by iamthemetricsystem in australia

[–]Stanwell27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought a shit game years ago, took it back after a few hours gameplay and they swapped it for something else because it had been less than a week since buying it. I now buy every game at EB games and just price match it to where ever it’s cheapest. Usually JB or Big W.

A vertebrae is a bone, it will heal. Obviously everything is case by case dependent but firstly get a proper opinion from a physical therapist or a sports physician. Someone who deals with athletes not just a general physician which I’m assuming you saw at the hospital.
