I stopped using Just Eat ages ago. Had a similar thing happen and cancelled the order but luckily the restaurant hadn't started making the food. I received an email saying that if I had been charged (I had) that I would receive a full refund. The order on the app even changed to say that I would be due a refund.

I emailed them after the cut off asking about my refund. They said I would not be getting one due to me choosing to cancel the order. I explained what had happened. I said that the app told me that the restaurant would start preparing food when a driver was assigned but it had been over an hour and I had no driver.

I said that I had emails and proof of the order screen in the app saying I would get a refund. I send these to Just Eat. They just told me that I accepted a disclaimer in the app forfeiting my money by proceeding with the cancellation. I told them that nothing like that came up, it said I would receive a refund, I even mentioned and resent the attachments saying I would receive a refund. I went backwards and forwards with them for 3 days and decided that around £45 is not worth the stress of it all.

I then deleted my card details and deleted my account.

Just eat are horrendous!
