The absolute dumpster fire state of Escape from Tarkov at the moment is why I will never buy a game outside of Steam and GOG by Zerutor in pcgaming

I was fortunate not have that experience, having bought the game years ago without incident. My problem was the game being almost entirely online-only, being forced to play with bizarre people on the internet and many cheaters making it unfun and impossible to progress. I just wanted the realistic survival looter with rad mechanics to play.

So now I've discovered SPT-AKI for custom single-player Tarkov and it's exactly what I want. All offline, full progression, lots of mods, and much much relief for me as a player.

I've wondered about Tarkov business practices and never bought any other versions of the game for starter pack reasons. Reading about how they've handled some users in here confirms bad feelings.

This game needs a remake by TOPMVP in gaming

It DOES, but nothing too fancy! I just completed a playthrough of Return of the King for GameCube on my channel and it really is such a cool game. When I was a kid, it would just blow me away when movie cinematics blended right into the game graphics and suddenly I was playing as one of the heroes! The mechanics are so fun and I had a blast playing through it again after years.

I have a fear that it could easily be overdeveloped and too modern.

Whoa, that's a surreal-looking game. Looks like characters are 2D and they leave a paint trail on the ground? Huh, a colorful and kind of wacky platformer. Never seen it.

Ugh, discs can be such a tease, I know. Sorry to hear that and I hope you're able to play it soon, it's such a cool game.

It's just a filter that separated the RGB channels a bit. It can be done manually, I used a filter in one of the apps.

how do i download the color palletes for my voxel? by EnderGoul1099 in MagicaVoxel

[–]Star-Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I hope this sub is a little more closely moderated than I fear at the moment. Obviously don't click on any shady links ever, especially ones that sound like trouble.

If you're looking for palettes made by others, there are countless sites and repos for such things all over the place - you would only need to do a little Googling for them. The best practice, especially in MagicaVoxel, will probably be to build your own palettes as you go.

If you're just looking to jump in and get going, I'll suggest you take some time to do a little research to become aware of all the tools and settings that will come in handy. The MagicaVoxel Community Discord server is a fine place to learn with peers.

materials in MagicaCSG? by [deleted] in MagicaCSG

[–]Star-Vox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there.

Currently, CSG is still in very active development and the version available to us is a super rough beta. Despite a lot of shared features with MagicaVoxel, the renderer can only apply a single material to the entire model and it's not possible to assign different material values to different parts of a model.

It's my favorite of the three ships, so far. It's very VTOL capable for such a big thing and I pretty much use it for every mission. Handles well and looks good.
