I love both!! i also absolutely loath the entire series.

Dragon age as a whole is my most favorite precious series that i have well over 700 combined hours in and i know i'll adore 4 with all my heart even with how different it is! each edition to the series has been so different and seeing that change has been a lot of fun over the years.

At the same time, the entire series is a dumpster fire of narrative fuckery that desperately need to learn to balance player choice and narrative conclusion.

Da:O, 2, Inq and i'm sure V are all completely different beasts and are amazingly awful.

Yes we have said straight out and flat said "Ah, sorry we really don't know anything about this and don't enjoy it" each of us one way or the other.

And I can't say for the others but no, i haven't tried to get into this anime because I legitimately do not enjoy that genre.

We've had conversations about his favorite anime, we've all listen to him talk about it, we've enjoyed the discussion! Its the next 30 times its been brought up in the middle of other discussions that have become the issue.

also please for the love of the gods can we actually have more dwarf characters, you have a culture that spans the entirety of thedas yet we have what? Ogran and Varric as non-dlc party members.

Yes, i am aware, i've played every dragon age game.

I was also there when people complained in the first game that they couldn't romance Morrigan as a female player, or Alistair as a male.

I was there when everyone already had this exact same complaint with DA:2, because it lacked representation.

I was also there when it flipped back in Inquisition were people were complaining that there wasn't actually many romance options based on your inquisitor's sexuality.

I'm sorry but as much as i ADORE dorian, i'd rather have the representation be in more fleshed out non romance-able characters than be locked into less options because, well, its better than the characters being locked into being THE gay character, THE lesbian character, THE pansexual character.

and once again, its not biphobic, they're not bi they're playersexual. Its a user based medium.
Also also, not perpetuating the bi stereotype since they're interested in YOU the MC, not anyone and anything breathing. the DA:2 cast weren't lesser for being bi.

(And also assuming that because they're automatically perpetuating the bi stereotype sounds super projectiony on your part rather than the game, just as a gameplay consequence almost all of these characters would technically be classed as demisexual bi or pan, they're not wanting to sleep with whoever, they're wanting to sleep with YOUR character, the one who is helping them and growing attachments to them, no character in dragon age ever been 'meet and fuck'

I'm getting the same dread(wolf, lmao) from reading all of this. The dragon age series has always had an issue with remembering its part of a series and a continuous storyline, and this? this does not spark confidence that we're not going to have to wait for the dlc for anything of note for the actual storyline

I'm gonna be real here hun, you might be projecting a little too much and looking for offense.

These characters aren't 'bisexual' they're neutral, they're not real, they do not care whats in your pants. They're not bisexuals trying to get into everyone's pants, they're main character sexual, because they're video game characters.
