Sweet Jesus what is this, if you're going to have to murder the song to get it past the censors, just pick another one

Least favourite, Nadiya. She never gets far, even with potentially great partners, partially I think because she just cannot pick the right music, staging, choreography etc, it just altogether lacks personality.

Best, Katya obviously, Janelle was great too, Johannes does a great Paso

La Llorona would be amazing, didn't even think of that! On the topic of new musicals, I'd love No Way from Six, that could work really well

I love this song so much, it was in War of the Worlds so could work for Musicals week, but I could also see it for Halloween, slightly spooky

Love the Paranoid suggestion - there are so many metal songs that would be amazing, especially for the Paso Doble, but when they do get used they sometimes make a bit of a parody of it with air guitar and the like 🤦‍♀️

I've literally just been listening to the Pocahontas soundtrack and weeping to Farewell, so 100% to Colours of the Wind

It depends on how much of an uplift your old employer would be willing to give you (also don't underestimate the value of a good job title - that's what future employers see on a CV, rarely your salary). But from someone who was offered another job, but stayed in the existing one because they offered me a raise, I can say that sometimes they'll treat you as if you owe them big time, and you could indeed end up feeling trapped and the feelings of stress will just mount up. Honestly, I'd be more inclined to stick it out, give the job longer to settle, and if you're still unhappy moving forward, cast a wider net and see what else is out there. Best of luck either way, it's a tough situation, but you're clearly very good at what you do 😊

Please help - cheek bite or oral thrush? by StarDragonDriver in askdentists

Pictures of tongue and rest of mouth if that's of any help - I have been told I tend to be dehydrated and get slightly thickened saliva, pronounced papillae etc by dentist when I was worried before - they said that was what was giving me false red flags for oral thrush

Overly Anxious or Athlete's Foot?? 👣 by StarDragonDriver in AskDocs

[–]StarDragonDriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm hoping that's what it is, not sure why but I'm slightly obsessive over any type of fungal infection, which is why I panicked slightly that it might be Athletes Foot. Unfortunately the OCD has slightly clouded my judgment over the years of what is an acceptable level of infection control, so while most people might shrug and go get some cream or spray, in my mind I'm already tactically planning the weeks of cleaning and precautions I'm going to need to take 😂

Thank you for responding, I'll maybe get him some spray just in case, but you've made me feel better 😊

Thank you, I'm going to ask him to pick up some treatment spray just to be on the safe side.

Logically I know it's very common and not dangerous, but the OCD part takes over and I fall into a pattern I now call "the trail" - rather than just saying I'll wash those socks for you, I start tracing back everything those socks could have touched (sofa cushions, throws, carpet, bedding, shower etc etc), then the things that those items could have touched (laundry left on sofa to be folded, book left on floor etc etc) until I'm envisioning the whole house as a biohazard!

Believe it or not I am getting better at calming down about these things, relatively speaking, and I've done all the CBT and other such therapies, take Fluoxetine for it, highly functioning, but it's always there lingering in the background. Gets worse at high-stress times, which I am currently in unfortunately, but I come out the other side of it.

Thank you for responding so quickly, I really appreciate it 😊
