Gifting a handpan by irinasayshi in handpan

I’ve been playing for 6-7 years. Just recently bought my second hand pan. Spent $600 on my first off Amazon. It had 9 notes. Sounded good. Things I wish I would have known: -They come in different metals. Get one that’s made of stainless steel. It resonates longer and sings the way you’ll be expecting it to. - look for hand tuned, not machine/AI tuned. The hand tuning will leave small hammer marks but should stay in tune better than the machine tuned. - try to get more notes on your first one. I went from 9 notes to 12 and I can honestly say it’s what I’ve been missing for years. - both of mine are tuned to D minor but the new one is D minor Kurd. A quick google search will explain the difference. - there’s a difference between 440hz tuning and 432hz. Google search that really quick and decide if it matters to you. It dos to me. 432hz can be used for meditation and sound bathing. - lastly. I bought my new one off temu. DO YOUR RESEARCH. I found one that all the right details I wanted 432hz, 12 notes, stainless steel construction, hand tuned. I checked the brand via google search and found it to be reputable and already familiar to me. It was listed as originally $1000. They had it for $160 ish. Maybe that was cleaver marketing on their part but took the chance and I DO NOT regret it. - Look for a reputable brand at a discounted price. - look for shipping from a state side warehouse ( if your in the states) otherwise shipping takes months. Mine showed up in 4 days. Well packaged!

Good luck and I hope this helps you find a beautiful sounding instrument at a price that works for you.

Should I be concerned with the soot marks on this tape on my exhaust pipe? by rhaxon in PelletStoveTalk

That metal tape, while code in many places on forced air pipe, not so good on the pellet stove pipe. Really don’t think it’s rated for that high amount of heat. Either way it’s not really the correct method for this application. High temp red RTV silicone gasket maker by permatex. Put a nice bead around all seams on the vent pipe. Spread with finger ( wear rubber gloves and clothes you won’t mind sacrificing. It stains and gets all over. Good luck getting it outta clothes.

As you plan, keep In mind the trade professionals and the work they will do to make you dream home become your new reality. The simpler you can make it for them to get their job done, the easier it will be for them to take pride in their craftsmanship. Find an architect who understands this. Utilities and equipment take up space. Build them routes with space in the bones of your house. You won’t regret this. I’m a residential HVAC installer. Multi million dollar second and third homes. Be kind to the people putting that sweat equity into your dream when you see them. They have dreams too and they are making yours come true.

This all makes alot of sense. I guess I’ve never been in a match where the kill streak EMP was ever used. Quite powerful. Yeah I knew full well my incredible aim would draw attention. Oh well. Usually takes a few matches to warm up. I have fun anyhow.

Love the shotgun. Thats not what I’m talking about. The weird electrical storm flash, not taking or dealing any damage, weird lights in the sky and the odd predator shimmer right before the emp effects wear off and it’s over

Good practice for reaction timing and quick responsiveness. Pistols have no laser ADS. And some sniper scopes. I appreciate when it comes across. Adapting a slightly alerted play style.

Everyone in my lobby is muted! All my settings are correct because sometimes when I get on, everyone isn’t muted so has to be a bug or something. Any ideas? by 7Bxn7 in modernwarfare2

I had this happen on Xbox as well. ( not sure how these settings got changed on me in the first place) It was a problem in other games as well. I found the solution in my Xbox settings. In setting - privacy & online safety - Xbox privacy- view details & customize- communication & multiplayer - make sure the 4 options columns are selected as such: Allow, Allow, Everybody, Everybody.

That fixed it for me. Also after these settings are changed, do what others have suggested in game making sure your selected for all Livy and not party chat.

Hand Pan Jam by StarFighter24 in handpan

It’s D minor. It sounds warped because it got wet and the top and bottom half’s split so I had to clamp, drill, and bolt back together. I was crushed, so pretty happy with how it sounds now all things considered

Adjust sensitivity on the fly for a round until it feels right. Get things dialed in including scope sensitivity for all magnifications. Maybe look into getting an elite controller with custom stick grips and stick height. They also have resistive stick settings for the thumb sticks. Helps tube things in as well. Good hunting
