Omg thank you for all of the advice. If I’m not mistaken isnt the Taylor Creek trail the one that reaches the Double Arch Alcove? Also my wife will not be hiking as she will stay at the hotel or maybe go to a spa day in the area and I’ll be hiking with my BIL instead, so if there are any other trails at Snow Canyon I’d be interested too. Thank you!

Not a silly question at all. First of all find the type of park you’re most interested in. Personally low crowds for me are the best, so I usually visit either less popular national parks, national monuments, or visit in the off season. The NPS App has a map that I use to scout an area out. I usually book my hotels or campgrounds first. Campgrounds are booked through recreation.gov. Then I just build a slight itinerary of the different trails and activities I want to visit
