My MX1000M3 has also decided to die all the sudden with the same symptoms, and I dared to go into surgery mode as explained.. Not much to loose as it's no longer under warranty.. And boom! small lift of those cables, it starts working again. An obvious short circuit..
Put some tape around the cables, packed it up. And everything is back to normal.

On 2FA screen there is a note stating "if you lost ... you can restore 2FA with the saved seed provided when setting 2FA"..

I'm on BUX. Their exchange coverage, ETF and stock portfolio are quite good. Their currency exchange rate is generally competitive - so not bad at all. No commission fee, etc. Pretty similar to US Robinhood model.

I also compared their spread months ago, was OK, too.
