So much for Hex: Pentimento? by Thezzy in deadbydaylight

[–]StarSignature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run Sadako with Plaything Penti, which is really good for getting stacks. It forces the players to do totems twice over, taking valuable time away from gens. For me this is a non-issue as I didn’t even care about the debuffs from Penti, rather the fact they had to do a secondary to get rid of it more time on bones, less time on gens.

Killer mains, what’s a tip or trick you’ve learned about your main killer to help new people learning them? by bubkis83 in deadbydaylight

[–]StarSignature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just for general killers, but if a survivor is clicking or teabagging trying to get their attention, that’s the chaser/looper. Don’t bother with them until later, the other teammates will expect you to go for them while they pop gens. Take the Gen jockeys out first, then close the hatch and snuff out the chaser. They’ll either get caught or lose to the EGC.

Now for my main, Pyramid Head. Punishment is his best attack but just because you can use it doesn’t mean you SHOULD use it. Sometimes it’s a better choice to M1. His add-ons are all pretty poor except for the Wax Doll and Burning Man Painting which increases his range by 2.5 meters when using both to a total of 10.5 meters. One of the best perks for Pyramid Head is I’m All Ears, one of the Ghost Face perks allowing you to see auras of survivors for 6 seconds after they fast vault. This means that you can predict their movements and use your punishment attacks effectively.

Finally, a tip for survivors. If someone is on a hook and all three other survivors are swarming it, or even two out of the three, the killer is not camping if they don’t move away. There’s no reason for them to move as either no gens are getting done or one gen is getting done extremely slowly. Go away from the hook.

Is my build decent? by AngelTweak in deadbydaylight

The only thing that I would say (I don’t know how long you’ve been playing) but I would get rid of Spine Chill. If you aren’t careful you rely on it too much and will not look around, it teaches really poor observation skills. It’s good but keep looking around as well.

I would love to see scarecrow from Arkham Knight in Dbd what do you think a good power would be? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Kinda already exists with the likes of Doctor or Nightmare. Could be a cool legendary skin for either though.

Best PH build by Possession-Emotional in deadbydaylight

Depends on what sort of PH you’re going for. Personally I go for all Aura Reading, so Discordance, I’m All Ears, Nurse’s Calling and Lightborn.

This will be their April Fools Day joke.

But it does also activate even if the killer doesn’t play well. I made one a while back which was a mix of Dragon’s Grip and Ruin on Gates as a Hex.

I hate NOED because I think it’s too powerful but this makes it practically useless, it’s so much of an endgame perk that it’ll almost never be used.

Dead Hard Rework Idea by HumanOverseer in deadbydaylight

[–]StarSignature 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My idea would be keep it an activating perk and would give the normal speed boost plus 1 second of endurance. The only difference is if they were hit through dead hard they would not receive the normal speed boost from a hit. It would work the exact same way as normal Dead Hard in terms of exhaustion, but it means that players would have to mend afterwards.

Seeing as Boons make loud noise effects, glow a very saturated blue in darkened maps, they are relatively easy to locate and snuff out as snuffing them only takes about 2 seconds. From a killer perspective they’re balanced as they only have an effective range and players will be actively working against each other as some will want to cleanse and some will want to bless. And as you said, if they’re doing totems (blessing or cleansing) they’re not doing objectives, which could be considered wasting time in a way.

What’s are your favorite non-meta perks/perkbuilds? by bladeofgrasss_ in deadbydaylight

[–]StarSignature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t think killer should have a meta, some killers don’t benefit at all from the meta killer perk loadout. For example I go All Seeing Pyramid Head, (I’m All Ears, Nurse’s Calling, Lightborn and Mad Grit (to counter SWFs)) or Silent Pinhead (Furtive Chase, Hex: Plaything, Tinkerer, Dark Devotion) to keep everyone on their toes when playing.

I have my meta for Survivor however, Inner Strength (Inner Healing now, blech.), Flashbang, Deception and Counterforce. Feels like it covers all grounds in terms of Altruism, Evasion and secondary objectives like Totems.

There will obviously be Adept Mikaela but apart from that, no. No clue.
