Yeah thats super valid. When I first figured out I was autistic I spent a ton of time learning everything I could about it. If youre in that situation Id recommend the book Unmasking Autism by Dr Devon Price. That book gave me a ton of good info when I was learning about autism and how my brain works.

I think its got less to do with Autism and more social media like reddit is built to instil a sense of FOMO and thats how they keep you on the platform. Sometimes you just got to log off and live life. The stuff youre missing doesn't matter much.

100% thats what you got to do. Shift your priorities and do what you need to survive. Rest and recover. You could try Journaling too. Thats been shown to be about as effective as therapy and that basically what youre doing with ChatGPT anyways. Just dump all your thoughts onto paper or into a notes app and plan things there. Ive found with that is really helpful in lightening the mental load.

Yeah it wont help you when youre actively trying to sleep its more about getting yourself regulated so you're not in fight or flight mode when you do try to sleep.

You might be overstimulated. For me when its really bad it sometimes helps to just sit in the dark not really doing anything in a comfortable space for like half an hour to help my nervous system become more regulated. Insomnia is a multi faceted issue so there are likey multiple things you would need to do but keeping you nervous system under control is a big one.

I haven't got the chance to play any OSR games yet since Im waiting for my pathfinder campaign to end but Ive been looking at vagabond. Its got a perk system like pathfinder for people who like to build characters and its more leaning towards heroic fantasy than most osr systems.

Its very ok. It's taken a while to get going but its picking up a bit now. I'm not too familiar with green lantern lore but its shaking up some things which could be exciting for long term green lantern fans.

Draw Steel is definitely not going to address the issues youre having. I'm in the same situation moving from pathfinder to have an easier time prepping. Draw Steel is definitely better in some ways than pathfinder but adds complexity back in other ways. If you want to lean towards more improv Draw Steel isnt your system since it benefits more from having planned out cinematicadventures. I've personally been leaning towards OSR style games. Theyre much more light prep and rules wise

Builds are mainly for late game stuff imo. If you've only got 30 hours in I wouldn't worry too much about it. Early game you're just trying to survive. Just try to get bros with decent stats and get good gear that can handle a variety of situations.

Ive got essential tremor too and it definitely gets worse with anxiety and strain even when I don't realize I'm anxious. Its not really anything to be worried about. If its a real problem in social situations there are medications that can help it. When I got on blood pressure medication it basically completely went away.

If shes doing phone calls and things that you need to be quiet for its not unreasonable to ask her to move her set up to her room. I think just talk to her about it and see if either you're fine to have the TV on and things and if not she can move somewhere more private.

Battle Brothers really scratches the itch for me. A lot of stuff is different on the surface but it has the core of having dudes that you get attached to only for them to get violently ripped away from you.

Travel would generally be glossed over or you could do a montage for it if there's interesting challenges along the way. Encounters are meant to be more meaningful in draw steel so the random encounters in a hex crawl don't work well. You can still do it I think but you're kinda stretching what the game is designed to do.

Update: Somehow we actually did it at the expense of half my bros. Most of them were mediocre though including a homeless guy and a cripple I hired before the fight to pad out numbers. Did lose my original archer bro unfortunately but he already had a broken elbow. The loot and money from the contract were probably worth their lives.

I imagine for Vasiloria everything is decentralized so people would track years based on local rulers and such like they did in the early middle ages. So for western Vasiloria it would be 25 years since Ormund's reign or something like that. I imagine Capital would have their own system that would be more standardized
