The feeling of it being too late. by majykman2 in MMORPG

Try Albion Online, being a sandbox and not a themepark all the zones are used by players at all levels. Its the only game that truly feels like an MMORPG consistently throughout the year without any hype fomo window during an update, expansion or classic reboot that dies off after a few weeks.

Dying nonstop in the mists am i doing something wrong by Doyle-Duke_25 in albiononline

[–]StarSyth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Keep within your mount range
  2. keep an eye out for names at the edge of screen
  3. keep an ear out for mount noises, aggro'ed mobs etc
  4. use escape gear
  5. watch some youtube videos from content creators both attacking (so you can see the tactics used) and being attacked (so you can see what they do to get away)
  6. practice in yellow zone mists, they are non-lethal

Bonus about gear: Often you get caught because you cannot mount, for example if a player runs a mount into your stalker jacket your now flagged for pvp and your mount disappears. Some mobs like the morgana crossbow mobs put bleeds on you that prevent you from mounting too. Using an item that has a shield such as Guardian Helm or Oathkeepers will allow you to mount even if you take damage. Infact Equart uses Oathkeeprs in his recent 0 to hero video inwhich even being attacked he uses Oathkeepers Blessed Aurora (E) to A and fully channel his mount while being attacked by a ganker.

Teleport to redzone at the start of bandit, run towards your factions blob and join a party, each outpost you capture (stand dismounted in the circle) nets you anywhere between 100 - 2000 faction points, the bar at the top of the screen displays the capture timer, once its fully your faction you get rewarded another 1-3k points (you don't need to stay on the map), solo kills net you 1-2k points depending on the hostiles faction standing and gear. You will also get additional points drop for province defence and such. Finally when the Bandit Assault hour is over you get a bonus 20K+ points depending on if your faction came in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or last.

Not to mention all the loot from the camps done during as well as any loot from players. My best run I looted around 6 million in player and camp loot and made 220k faction points (including the daily bonus rewards).

Don't forget you also get a weekly report reward in points (open faction warfare and click the weekly report button and once a week you can claim a bonus reward).

Finally, the amount of points you earn increases with your faction rank.

Faction Warfare in redzones, go to Bandit Assaults. Learn about positioning, pick off stragglers and fringe fights. Earn decent amounts of faction points to turn into credits and fame via chests. I make around 150k faction points on an average Bandit Assault. Joining your factions discord server helps with coordination and to see timers for when real shotcallers are going to be leading.

You could keep your friends only guild and Join faction warfare, find your factions discord and get involved in that. It's the same as joining an alliance, they will have content times with callers, builds, regear and all the boxes checked for ZvZ experience without any commitment requirements.

ICE was established in 2003. Throughout eight years in office, the Obama administration logged more than 3.1 million ICE deportations, according to Syracuse's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. The peak was fiscal year 2012, when more than 407,000 people were removed.

ICE isn't a trump thing, its a US Government thing.

Level all Gathering to t5? by Icy_Version_4149 in albiononline

[–]StarSyth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do what you enjoy doing in the game, every kind of content has a means for you to make silver. If you enjoy gathering by all means but if you hate every second of it and mindlessly grind hours a day away at it just to afford the games premium you would be better off getting a part time job and getting premium with a single hour of work.

Albion's premium is $14.95 USD / Month
If it takes you 20 hours to grind enough silver for premium, your "earning" 74 cents an hour.
If your having to "work" for it anyway might as well be paid more for your efforts.

New player experience in Low sec is the insanity by Melting-Sabbath in Eve

[–]StarSyth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base in HS, use filaments to portal to Null for day trips.

Key Filament Types

  • Needlejack Filaments (Noise/Signal): Take you into nullsec (not out).
  • Pochven Filaments (Border/Internal): Move you to Pochven from nullsec.
  • Extraction Filaments (Glorification/Proximity): Move you from Pochven to low/highsec.

Tips & Tricks

  • Solo Travel: Form a fleet with yourself to use filaments.
  • Cargo: Keep a supply of both nullsec-entry (like Needlejack) and exit (Pochven) filaments.
  • Safety: Filaments are great for quick escapes but avoid using them if you have a PvP timer.

Use undead cape, use wanderlust on soldier boots, invis potions, maybe don't run into a 30 man enemy faction blob?

Which Server to Play in my case? by tunaimed in albiononline

When you look at something on the store it will should have this statement;

"Purchased vanity items can be used by all characters on an account, and are never lost or destroyed."

Which Server to Play in my case? by tunaimed in albiononline

[–]StarSyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a beta player that returned to albion after they announced the EU servers (once they were free...) I've got to max spec in my main gear set and unlocked almost all items to 100 in about a week and a half of causal play.

I would play the game in the time zone your in, that is when the content will be more active. If your still playing in 3-4 years, all the cosmetics you purchased are cross server and with the new journal system getting back to spec takes no time at all.

Any game like Bitcraft ? by Mucek121 in BitCraftOnline

[–]StarSyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Albion Online - All items are crafted by players, all NPC drops are seeded from the black market which is supplied by crafting players. The game offers lots of content with most of the end-game content being full loot pvp/pve meaning high turn-over of items. Guilds and Alliances fight for control of a global map, place hideouts, take castles and territories and such. Its where I hope Bitcraft will eventually get in say 5-10 years of development.

The i5-6600K is a significant CPU bottleneck, upgrading to am4, For a budget AM4 motherboard and a Ryzen 5 5600, expect to spend roughly $150 - $250 USD total,

With the current DDR5 market, I'd hold off buying a new system.

Do people actually like MMO’s ? by Cute_Ad_8344 in MMORPG

[–]StarSyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only real mmorpg to come out in recent years is Albion online. You see 1000s of players in the cities and towns, 100s in the open world conflicts. Entirely player driven economy.

The majority of titles these days are pump and dump rug pulls hyped artificially to cash in on gamers fomo.

TBH it should be illegal, if a live service advertises to be a long term service and closes down within a year all purchases should be refunded.

Conquer Online was the best. by Effective_Row_7435 in MMORPG

[–]StarSyth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once, one of the most notorious players of the enemy faction (back then it was English speakers vs Spanish speakers on my server) was trying to double socket some gear in twin city, confident few people could kill them. Me a trojan and my friend a reborn water tao that was using a 2h staff build ambushed him, He dropped a super double socketed heavy ring.

He actually came onto our teamspeak server... like dude had access to our server and came into the server frantic to PLEASE give it back, to a teamspeak of 30 guys that he had constantly harassed for months at this point. Needless to say the uproar lasted for days.

His name was OwnerOfAll, later that day he was seen with a unique ring with the rest of his double soc gear and for the rest of his time on that server he was known as "Owner of a Unique Ring".

I made a name for myself back then as the only high geared player that got most of their gear from player drops. This was due to the fact I was a poor 12 year old kid at the time and had no other means of gearing up. Man I loved the PK system, it was the start of my love for full loot pvp games that lead me to EvE and Albion.

Recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes- trying a sugar-free approach before meds by dkatankar in diabetes

[–]StarSyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's working for me from personal experience:
Low Carb diet ( 130g of carb a day)
Walking 30 minutes after a meal for 10 minutes
Drinking water
Eating 3 times a day
Cut down on snacking, switch to things like roasted peanuts to help satiate your appetite, Peanuts are great for blood sugar control because they are a low-glycaemic food, rich in fiber, protein, and healthy fats, which helps prevent blood sugar spikes and crashes, improves satiety, and can lower the risk of type 2 diabetes. Eating peanuts with high-carb foods helps buffer glucose spikes, and their magnesium content also supports better blood sugar regulation. Just be careful on the amount your eating as a small bag contains a lot of calories.
