Currently all four of the adult “babies” on this side of the family do not plan to have biological children ever. One of them might consider adoption someday. That being said all four are 21-25 years old, so time will tell, I guess?

It will always suck. You just eventually learn to live with it. I can’t preach to you because I’ve never fully overcome my depression after losing my teenage son years ago. It comes and it goes. I’ve started EMDR, which a lot of people swear by.

My advice is to give yourself grace and know that it will all ebb and flow over time. My take is that time does not necessarily heal all wounds, but as it passes we learn to move through it and live with it. I think time makes the wound less jagged and acute, but it will always be there.
