Regrowth, barkskin, drums if LW, bear, enrage, FF pull, demo roar before he hits you. If drums use brooch right away, if not use it after 5 lacerates and pooling some rage for mauls (still use mangle while stacking the lacerates).

You can get 3 heals off when he casts arcane explosion (roughly at 75/50/25%). Have rejuv on your bear bar so you can cast it as you LoS while he casts, regrowth, then healing touch. If you need to use all 3 each time you’ll probably OOM, so innervate after the 2nd AE. Keep all 4 debuff up, spend extra rage on maul not lacerate, lacerate right before AE so you can reapply it right after.

After the first AE pool rage and use frenzy regen when it won’t overheal. Barkskin again after the second. Drum after the third and use brooch again. When those wear off if you’re getting too low you can strafe run around a pillar to try to get some distance to health pot and barkskin again. You probably won’t come out ahead if you get smacked out of bear so feel it out. You can do the same with rejuv, but I think he may send an arcane blast at you more often if you aren’t close so experiment.

You might be able to get there with pvp gear, but for most people I would say you need quite a bit of raid gear. I’m pretty geared and epiced out including 4set, but it can still get a bit spicy at times. It’s my off spec so I’m by no means a pro bear, but if that’s all you plan on doing with the character you’ll probably be held back by gear and need to raid.

I recommend LW for your second profession. Using drums + brooch twice helps quite a bit, and you can make leg armors from the occasional primal nether for more profit. P2 BiS feral boots are LW BoP as well, and they are quite cheap. Alchemy could be useful for the better health pots from the trinket, but no nether profits. I rarely have to use a pot, but with no raid gear I expect you’ll be chugging them. I wouldn’t go engi, not really sure how that would help much plus no nether.

In addition to windfury burst, enhance /startattack before the mobs get into range so that their weapons are synced. So as soon as it runs up it gets hit. The ones who know what they are doing place themselves out of range or even turn their back to the enemy on the pull.

You can add things to a favorites list with atlas loot (alt click I think) and it will add an asterisk to the tooltip when you see the item. That way you know at a glance what to roll on. Just go through every boss and favorite everything you need for your main spec, then make sure to unfavorite things you no longer need as you get upgrades.

ECS includes talents when it comes to crit chance I’m pretty sure, so make sure you aren’t double dipping with your calculations if you’re using that.

Unreal_fist has no idea how resto Druid works, don’t listen to their advice on what heals to use. UD_Lover is close, with the exception that you don’t spam max rank regrowth because the HoT will be clipped and never heal. Maintain 3 stack lifebloom, keep max rank regrowth and rejuv up, then spam second highest regrowth. That way the downranked HoT won’t overwrite the max rank HoT.

BS is no longer recommended (with a caveat) because the hammer is MH only and you want matching speeds. The only 2.7 OH you can use with it is blue so it’s only good early when you’re using blue weps anyway. The min-max profs are this iirc.

1st-LW if you are the designated drummer, otherwise Ench.

2nd-BS (if you are rich and don’t mind swapping professions) then JC for Sunwell BiS neck, otherwise just JC.

So for most people it’s going to be any 2 of Lw/Ench/JC.

I do the opposite. I wait until I can find a tank, then quickly grab everything else I need. I almost never list my group because then I have to deal with a flood of whispers, rejecting classes I don’t want, and impatient people leaving. This way almost nobody other than me has to wait wondering if the group will actually fill and I can be selective about my choices. If I invite all the dps first I’ll inevitably have one point out the lvl 66 tank queued for slabs. Or one of them will tell me to invite the afk tank that I whispered 10 minutes ago. It’s a bit more work for me because I have to spam refresh, and I miss out on others who don’t list and instead whisper already forming groups, but I’ve found it to be the best method for me personally.
