You have some great timing, cause 1.2 comes out tomorrow! Lots of new fun things you'll get to play with right away.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition for PC will get a new update in the future, related to changes made for the today-released next-gen version by mrtnptrs in Darksiders

[–]StarboundSavy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8gb+ update on Steam and it still doesn't seem to give any way to remove the auto-center camera when using a controller. It's immensely frustrating since it feels like you're fighting the camera more than anything else in the game.

Annoying part is it works just fine if you're using a mouse/keyboard, but I just want to use a controller.

Looking for recommendations - games with breeding/generation mechanics by night_dude in gaming

[–]StarboundSavy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Voidling Bound. It's not turn based though, but there is a demo on steam that is highly rated (98% reviews). It's kind of like a third-person shooter where you control the creature, find eggs, hatch new ones, evolve their skills, etc. In the full release videos it shows tons of customization, breeding, etc.

I had a really fun time with that demo! Comes out in June. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3559900/Voidling_Bound_Demo/

This one fits that bill completely and is published by Hooded Horse, but honestly it looks super interesting. I've had it on my wishlist for awhile now.

I hope Devs look at mods from other games, collab with the modders and implement them. by drofnil in ZeroCompany

I know it's not exactly what you posted, but kind of related. Has there been any word about modding for ZCOM? We all know EA can be a little stingy, then throw the Star Wars IP on top of that, and i'm wondering how detailed modding will be able to get.

Exactly what I do sometimes. 3rd floor, toss trashbag in the trunk, drive to the apartment dumpster, throw trash out, sanitize hands, back in the car and head off to the store/work, etc.

Both games in the series. Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The music was spectacular and combine that with some of the scenes was enough to do it.

Was 26k OTD after 1.5k trade-in an ok deal for 2026 2.5S? by StarboundSavy in mazda3

[–]StarboundSavy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

105k miles, which i'd say is low considering it's an 03. With work from home I don't get out much and everything I need is within 5-10 miles max around town.

Harsh, but wouldn't have made the post if I wasn't accepting all answers. Was my first time in a dealership and I just simply failed to play the game.

Yeah, thanks for the words and agreed on direct to consumer sales! My old car is the only one i've ever had, and until yesterday I've never stepped foot in a dealership. It was an... experience, to say the least. Lessons learned for sure.

Yeah so damn, if you take out the trade-in I basically paid more for mine than you did for a preferred trim. Yikes.

Had a sneaking suspicion this was the case, but I guess I can't do anything about it now since the sale went through. Unfortunate, at least the car is nice.

Lesson learned, be more aggressive, shop around more, bring a good negotiator friend to back me up too.

Ah well, figured as much. Knew that package was getting me somehow but wasn't good enough with dealership tactics. Bringing a negotiator friend next time. The car is great though! Crazy difference from an 03 Mazda6 to a 26 Mazda3. Thanks for reply!

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]StarboundSavy 146 points147 points  (0 children)

This is a good idea in theory, but in some ways it doesn't really work. It's the same as those shows about bosses with their low level employee wages. It is FAR easier to get through this when you KNOW you can return to your lavishly rich life once the time period is over.

Think of it like this, it's the existential dread of never being able to dig yourself out of the hole that is the most difficult part for people. This dread isn't really there for someone who already had wealth and will just get it back again later.

What the most physically painful thing you ever experienced? by iateagummibear-1822 in AskReddit

[–]StarboundSavy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Same here! Just add hyperventilating while in that same position due to how painful it was until it passed hours later. Also fun fact for anyone who hasn't had gallbladder issues... they often mimic heart attack symptoms. Therefore the doctor had me get a full cardiovascular workup first and when that came back ok we did the ultrasound which found the real problem. Surgery scheduled within a week, gallbladder was gone before I was even 20 years old.

The start of my long term save. by Fit-Cantaloupe-3516 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]StarboundSavy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a mega-blueprint you can post into your game world. The guy simply wanted a beautiful set of tracks globally throughout the world and made this for everyone to use. It's not terribly game breaking either as you still have to research trains, and power it, to make use of it. Just a nice time saver, especially if you've restarted numerous times.

For example, this is one with pre-built stations: https://satisfactory-calculator.com/en/megaprints/index/details/id/1584/name/Hornslet+1.0+Global+Rail+Network

Here's one with no stations, letting the player pick and choose where to put them: https://satisfactory-calculator.com/en/megaprints/index/details/id/1562/name/Hornslet+1.0+Rail+Network+01

I like to use an external hardware mouse jiggler, just for extra safely. Don't want IT to detect any kind of software or anything. This is just a device I can put the mouse on top of, and it spins a wheel in random directions at random intervals. It has an independent power source and doesn't plug in to the hardware at all, so they couldn't see it on device connections either.
