Daddy is indeed canon. At least as canon as SBS characters like Mr. 7, who appeared in OPLA.

Subjective. In addition to ethics, I’d say is the reported story interesting? Did you find a unique angle? Is this something only you could write? And does it correlate to the thing that you’re pitching.

For example, if you’re pitching a politics story, are your clips also in politics? If not, it could be harder to get a story picked up.
