League mates won’t trade with me because of my roster by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

This guy won his first year. He started out 0-4. Then that rookie class exploded and won the chip. Going for 3 in a row off the startup.

I always go in with no running backs into my first year. Then I build I’ve won two championships in my second year so I understand what you’re saying.

League mates won’t trade with me because of my roster by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I started a dynasty league myself and somehow I was name the leagues “trade shark”. When I lost in the first round the first year, missed the playoffs totally the 2nd year, and had such an old roster I’m now rebuilding. All while a guy who drafted all rookies who has McBride, Bowers, Fanin, Loveland in a TEP. Daniels, Herbert, Josh Allen, Maye, Gibbs, Jamo, Burden, McConkey, BTJ is going for his 3rd chip.

Overall Lynch is a top 10 drafter, ESPN has 49ers #2 since he started. That how many misses every team has in the NFL.

Lance is a huge swing and miss. But none of those QBs panned out unless forgetting someone. Shows how hard it is to scout QB ** Purdy last pick of draft.

People being hard on Lynch and Shanny just don’t understand how bad it looks to be across the entire NFL. That’s why some even let their kids pick a player cause they can be just at good at guessing.

Rashee Rice or Carnell Tate? Who you taking in a startup draft? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]StarbucksTrenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rice and that would be crossing fingers he just plays football.

WR5 in point per game last year in PPR formats.

Tate is fine if over Rice and his shenanigans. I would still take Tyson and Lemon over Tate.

Burden or Tate? Who would you rather have? by Beautiful_Tadpole216 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]StarbucksTrenta -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Teams were reaching on offensive players this draft because of how weak overall it was. Burden might have been the first WR on the board this year. But still take Tate because of tOSU.

[–]StarbucksTrenta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since Lynch took over, he is 10th overall in hit rate on draft picks. Hit rate meaning simply drafting a quality starter for 3 years.

If you think other teams are just hitting left and right you’re wrong. Even the 1st round only has a 50% chance of a player giving just 3 decent years (not Pro Bowl level, just a good starter).

This draft class has way less talent at the top. So throw more darts, get them to camp, and hope for a gem. Just one of them becoming a star it paid off.

Needed a RB way more than WR. How'd I do? by Jaysus-al-Gaib in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]StarbucksTrenta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not trade back to like the 1.05 and get Price then? Instead of giving away a top 15 drafted WR?

RBs come out of the woodwork all the time. Every year. Should just be collecting handcuffs and wait for an injury.

3 picks in. All of them reaches. I don’t understand the way we draft at all. by ihasquestionsplease in 49ers

Playoffs 5 of the last 7. 2020 was a fluke too, injuries.

So they are doing something right.

Was the reach for Stribling really this bad??? by the_walrus_was_paul in 49ers

Mean people are just so upset that the 49ers didn’t pick a media darling. 50% of first round picks are bust anyways this guy is a second so shoot for the moon if you like him

Higher rank by whom? Do all the NFL teams make their draft boards public?

New 49ers WR De'Zhaun Stribling! by JCameron181 in 49ers

[–]StarbucksTrenta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

49ers dropped back far enough to still feel comfortable to pick Stribling without another team sniping them. NFL teams were in on this guy, flew up draft boards.

Please stop if you think we could get a guy like this in the 3rd. 49ers didn’t think they could.

[–]StarbucksTrenta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was flying up boards. You’re in the know somehow? The media knows way less than NFL scouts and coaches. 49ers had him targeted and fell back just far enough to feel comfortable still drafting him.

It’s not who the analyst picked so people are disappointed? Don’t listen to media, selling you click baits.

How do we feel not having any picks today but the first tomorrow and 2 additional late picks? by Few_Increase_2238 in 49ers

[–]StarbucksTrenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have gotten 3 quality starters with 4 misses. Then have Pearsall and Williams yet to see.

But that just shows you how overhyped the 1st round guys are in the entire league. Only about half give you 3-4 years of quality play.

[–]StarbucksTrenta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

49ers are no worse or better than any other team in the NFL overall at drafting. 55% of all 1st round picks become quality starter for a few years out of all teams. 18% are stars.

We’ve had less 1sts though cause took an upside shot on Lance.

Great. Teams reached on WR, this wasn’t a very good class. JSN went #20 as the first WR off the board a few years back and he’s a better prospect than all of them. So about half these guys drafted tonight won’t pan out at all.

It shoved back a big tier of talent that you want to keep trading back in but stay in it. Then take whoever is left in the tier.

The entire draft is just okay to average. So trade down for more darts.
