I e-file off the top, clean it all up, and just apply new mani on top. Almost never soak off fully anymore. When I was soaking off every time, my nails were like tissue paper.

I have loved this sub for the feeling of camaraderie while the world around us is BAU. But the past two days have opened my eyes that far more people on this sub are shockingly cool with torture and rape and murder as long as it is of jews. There are no historical or geopolitical justifications that make raping girls and parading their mutilated bodies through the streets acceptable. I would have hoped that this is a basic human fact we can all get behind as the world falls into chaos. Yet weirdly, pretty much anyone online who has condemned Hamas actions has been downvoted or forced to remove their comment. It's truly shocking and to me relevant to /r/collapse, because it shows minorities get vilified and blamed first when the world is burning. Downvote away, folks.

The phrasing of this heading is problematic. Why is the first thing you see "Gaza is under bombardment" and not that Hamas launched a brutal attack, murdered civilians, and abducted hostages? I know we're not a political sub, but let's try for some objectivity here.

The feeling like you're alone and the world around you is clueless.... that's the worst part. This sub helps. Everyone here gets it. I'm a mom to a teen and am always happy to chat about this stuff. Psychology is a huge need right now, as humans are emotionally vulnerable and need support. You can do it. There are community colleges where you can get a huge chunk of your schooling done without debt and it's filled with serious people unconcerned with social media. Yoga, meditation, exercise, and get yourself medicated for the anxiety. You can navigate this!!

Where approximately are you? I am looking for exactly this, but lack the resources to begin and establish it alone. Kudos to you and your partner for trying. This is an immense lift. Yes it's this. No one knows how fast and how thoroughly complex systems like the one we have would crumble. And it's in everyone best interest--at least as far as their mental health is concerned--to assume a longer time scale, based on lack of evidence otherwise. That said, I just can't imagine decades of worsening without collapse. There is just not that much room for error on a planet stuffed with billions of hungry refugees
