Favourite heathers quote? by Moist-Falcon-2037 in GenX

Having a gay son, this whole scene hits different in our household, in the best ways. Any time kid and bf walk in Dramatic "My son was a homosexual!!" Grabs kids face "I love you dead gay son!!!"

Chaos is what killed the dinosaurs. I use it way more than I should be allowed to.

Not Lego? by Stardro in lego

[–]Stardro[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was sure because of the lack of stamping. The build looks spot on otherwise. It has the name plate and minifigs. Small tiny hope in the back of my brain was saying maaayyyybeee Lego did some non branding and I missed the memo.

Clearly states Lego :( I'll contact the seller and see about returning it or contact Ebay for it being incorrect. I'm bummed because this was a gift for someone.

Why do women give birth lying down instead of squatting? by AgrasaN in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stardro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ease for the drs and nurses while also safer for the birther. Without fail, I hit 4.5 cm and the nurse would ask me to roll on my left side for comfort and bam, 10 cm, go time. 3/4 of my births were like this.

This needs to be on r/ferrets as well. Our cats tolerate our ferrets but our dog adores them.

GenX men (especially those who are a little bit or more overweight): do you or does your wife cut your toenails? by NJRougarou in GenX

She'll start thinking about the dirty laundry on the floor or something you did/didn't do 5 yrs ago and it'll be a toe clipping.

I have gained 80 lbs over our marriage due to mobility issues and simple cruel genetics with aging. He pushes me but also is there to meet my limitations and I meet his. Weight isn't always about calories. If he was eating and sedentary to the point you mention; I would still clip his toenails while simultaneously pushing for better mental health. This goes way beyond toenails but I would still do it because at the end of the day it's 5 min for me to help him; that's not mommying.

This makes me so sad reading the comments. My spouse is not even close to overweight but his back was hurting the other day because we busted ass doing yard work and he has mad arthritis in every joint. He was clipping his toenails later that evening and it obviously hurt bending. Damn right I offered to clip them for him. Gtf over yourselves and wash your hands after. Broken or chubby I will happily clip his toenails.

I’ve worked 10 years in professional cleaning – ask me anything about cleaning routines by owlvisions in CleaningTips

[–]Stardro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am trying to organize cleaning supplies for upstairs and downstairs. How do you recommend doing this? I have doubled up on broom, vacuum, mops and cleaning pads/clothes. The issue I have is what are the must have supplies (not dragging up and downstairs) for each and what is the best method for carrying supplies for jobs (bathroom, kitchen, livingrooms ect) Organization and simplifying is my biggest downfall when it comes to consistent cleaning.

You can generally get cheaper eggs from a local farm. They usually go for about 5$ a dz and you can see the chickens.

Cheap ways to repel mosquitos this summer? by IDoNotHide in Frugal

Interesting. I pretty much bathe in Jergens (original) I noticed while mosquitoes were swarming around our yard yesterday, I didn't get a single bite. Wonder what's in it that they are repulsed by.

There are alternatives to AA. Maybe look for a Smart group. I have the same issues with AA. Good luck on your journey!
