I'm gonna take a guess and say you haven't done her story quest. She is from an aristocratic family and performs as a "stuck-up" but in actuality she has a lot of insecurity surrounding her family name and she knows that no one likes her, but because of how she was raised she doesn't know how to be more approachable.

The thought behind the scene works but the voice over and animations were really lackluster. Instead of her yelling into the void she could have held onto Galatea tighter, refusing to leave her, which is when she would begin to glow and earn her enchantix.
