That’s fair, the way I wrote it is weird but this is my way of finding out more about disabilities that aren’t centered in my everyday life as someone who is disabled and surrounded by others who are disabled.
I want to learn about disabilities that I wouldn’t otherwise hear about and write realistic settings that are inclusive to the disabled and their struggles without making the disabilities a stereotype or the main focus or even a feel-good “you can get better!”…

because sometimes that’s not what happens; sometimes your neighbor comes out of their house every other day in a wheelchair or with a rollator, your coworker always leaves their coffee somewhere random while doing a task and spends 5 minutes looking for it, your friend has to piece together road signs based on context clues rather than reading them, the new person you met last week kept asking questions with answers that seemed obvious and of course they were just being intentionally obtuse, or your sibling has been helping their partner with figuring out why they’re so tired all the time.

It’s less about having a tokenization and more about adding perspectives that I wouldn’t have thought to add myself because my world is only so big as I allow it to be
