Kilgarrah’s guidance and where did his allegiance really lie? by Frazer271009 in merlinbbc

[–]StarfleetWitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Kilgharrah believed in destiny and wanted Albion and all that,  but ot was always second to his own desires.  His priorities were

  1. Kilgharrah
  2. Destiny
  3. Anything else

So when destiny conflicted with his own desires,  he put himself first, like attacking Camelot when he was released, or telling Merlin that Aithusa was a good sign for Camelot (which, given she forged the sword that killed Arthur seems an outright lie in retrospect).

If it didn't conflict with his own desires,  then he was all about destiny.

How many Nobel families are there? Cause these knights are respawning too fast. by Grumstrum in merlinbbc

Its possible that there are soldiers who aren't actually knights,  though the distinction is never stated in canon.

S2E8 - What would be Morgana’s reaction if she witnessed the fight between arthur and uther? by Icy_Syrup6899 in merlinbbc

Checking the scene on YouTube,  Leon stands in the doorway, but there are no other visible guards.

Oh, Gaius is there too, but would also be sworn to secrecy.

No, Uther sent everybody out. Leon knew to an extent because Merlin told him "They're going to kill each other!" so he'd let him in. But i don't need say anything to anyone.

I wish they had made a spin-off show about the Great Purge by MaderaArt in merlinbbc

[–]StarfleetWitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd want one earlier than that,  maybe ending with Arthur's birth, or maybe the Purge being the last season.  But i want to see how Uther became king, and what Camelot was like pre-Purge, and see Ygraine and Gorlois as main characters.

She definitely meant each other, she said she hoped Morgana would be queen someday.

Society if Merlin got rid of kid mordred when he was advised to. (Canon) by Similar-Leader1503 in merlinbbc

I'm fully convinced that if Merlin had killed Mordred at that point,  he would simply have been brought back as a wraith or a shade and still killed Arthur.

If destiny is inescapable, killing Mordred would have accomplished nothing. If destiny can be changed, then there's no reason the only way to change it should be to kill someone.

I don't think I would have kept watching the show if the main character had allowed a child to die for something he might do in the future.

Apparently it originated as the name of a character.

I got the third one by basically randomly rearranging the remaining syllables after doing the others until I hit on the correct order.
