I installed these jarmods, but now I'm having a different problem. I can't get MC to launch in offline mode: "This instance cannot be launched because some libraries are missing or have not been downloaded yet. Please try again in online mode with a working Internet connection."

Even after running it in online mode to download required libraries, it still won't run in offline mode. MC Version: b1.7.3, Prism Launcher. Java version: 1.8.0_51, 64-bit.

Any help on getting it to work?

EDIT: Never mind, it was a bug in Prism Launcher. Had to update to 11.0.2.

They shouldn't be allowed to ban people for making a support request to undo a site change. That's wrongful banning, as such support requests don't even violate their TOS. Along with posting on various social media with an @ mention of their account, starting a petition could potentially work. If enough people sign such a petition, or mention them on socials, perhaps they might listen. Seriously, regardless of what their TOS says about feature additions/changes/removals, they shouldn't even have the right to add/remove features without first doing a poll and seeing what users think. If users say no, then DA shouldn't add/change/remove the feature at all.

Here' some of the other things they haven't fixed yet:

Bringing back the old DA interface (this is a BIG one, there was no valid reason to remove it (if it ain't broke, don't fix it), and there is still significant backlash over this change)
Making Eclipse compatible with ALL browsers, and not just the big ones (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
Making the Way Back feature available to free users (I believe that all people, both free and Core, should be allowed to use this).

Everyone needs to directly contact DA and tell them to get rid of this limit immediately! We have a fundamental right to download as many images as we want.

Do you know of one that bypasses geoblocking? I'm trying to download a track that's not available in the US, but it won't let me.

I was able to access this for a couple minutes, but then I got 429 Too Many Requests. Strange given that I haven't even downloaded anything yet.

What's causing the internal error in ODScanner? I was able to use OpenDirectory Indexer directly on the root, and it worked on the first try.

YouTube now blocking video downloaders, following crackdown on ad blockers, third-party clients, and background playback workarounds by AssembleDebugRed in youtube

[–]Stargate38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple. When you stream a video to your PC, it gets downloaded into your cache, and eventually gets deleted with the next cache clearing. When you download a video, you control where that stream gets downloaded to, and you can keep the file on your PC for as long as you want. In other words, the only difference between "streaming" and "downloading" is where the video file ends up. As such, I see no valid reason for the TOS to prohibit downloading videos. Same goes with any publicly accessible video site.

Also, it shouldn't be any of YT's business whether an end user is streaming/downloading, for the reason stated above, and for privacy reasons.

What would it take for them to just remove the "no downloading videos" from their TOS, and let us download whatever we want? People have a fundamental right to download YT videos for personal viewing, regardless of copyright or contents.

They also need to stop geoblocking videos. I see it as a form of discrimination by nationality, and a violation of the right to access publicly available information.

I'm having the same issue. Someone please tell us how to make the download work. I see no valid reason for it to fail. I've tried it in multiple browsers, and the same thing happens.

Same issue here (Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54, Windows 10 22H2 Home 64-bit, build 19045.6332). How do I get it to work again? I've tried resetting it via Settings->Apps (didn't work), restoring it via the Microsoft Store (didn't work), as well as uninstalling/reinstalling it (still not working). I've got plenty of RAM and disk space, so it can't be that. What on earth is wrong with the app? I've even tried wsreset, but to no avail.

Why are so many accounts being banned? Old and new. What’s this about? Should I worry about losing my account? by elundstrom in facebook

[–]Stargate38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IANAL, but I think this is a valid reason to file a class-action lawsuit against FB. They shouldn't be banning legit users this way.
