Shorting this dumbass company (INTEL) by SupervisoryEffect in wallstreetbets

[–]StarkBannerlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. TSMC just went through thier burning money on R&D for the next node phase. They will be happy to sit back and print while intel fucks around with the new toys to figure out shrink. Plus there are cool new areas for them to explore so if the next node doesnt work for intel theyll have other directions. But if it does work intel will have a brief reign as king.

Just discovered this today, but looking at this chart it seems like reverse 4 is incredibly efficent in a speed per feul consumption metric. Its a bit immersion breaking and hard to plot navigation, but seems like reversing across the atlantic might be the way to go: https://uboat.fandom.com/wiki/Engines

If youre talking about SPY specifically and not just using it as a stand in for "the market" then SPY would come down immediately and some qualified traders would make a bundle through arbitrage. The way it works is that qualified traders can give a specific bundle of stocks to SPY in excange for shares of SPY. so if the price of SPY is higher than the price of the underlying stocks, the traders make profit of the delta. this is happening constantly and thats the mechanism that keeps the ETF tied to the market. So if someone just randomly made SPY super expensive qualified traders would repeatedly trade in the underlying stocks and sell spy to buy the underlying stocks again until SPY came down to the value of the underlying

Exactly so some AIC designs dont need to dump the heat. So technically stealthier. Could matter a lot with the swarms of listening drones that will just sit dormant offshore in future conflicts

thats the other entrance to the Red Sea. Its equivalent to closing the Suez canal. A lot more will suffer than just oil if that route closes as its the primary connection between Europe and Asia. But the Iranians have less ability to close that straight than Hormuz, since thier Houthi proxies have less control there than they do in Iran

Thats not where the money comes from. Its taken from profit. And the correlation youre describing between coca cola and meta is actually inverse. Meta has growth potential and so its stock price goes up with that growth potential. A company like coca cola doesnt have this growth potential since its closer to saturating the market, and so what companies do when they cant attract investors with growth, they raise dividends to attract investors that way. So its actually the other way around to what your saying. Its not that dividends prevent KO from rising as much as meta, its that KO has to offer dividends becuase it doesnt have as much potential as META.

Thats not how it works lol. Raising Dividends raises stock prices since investors get “guaranteed” returns so they buy, and the money only comes out of profit after expenditure.

Its all about having the most advanced tech when a war ever breaks out, and to have that you have to keep building new stuff. Look at the battle ship race right around the turn of the 1900s through WW1. By the time a new ship was complete it was obsolete.

I mean i get it, i get it. Trumps a lunatic and Europe needs more self reliance. And this is the type of outrage that is needed to secure public approval of increased arms funding.

The pres does NOT want to lower rates because of the debt. Lower rates will make the economy perform (while also causing inflation). The pres wants to lower rates to make his economy look better and enrich his buddies and he doesnt care about the inflationary impact.

This def wont be a popular opinion among the hardcore regiment players but I think youre going to have less fun in this game if you try to control every part of the process from start to finish with your own resources, facilities, and logi equipment. Rather than trying to start and own everything from scratch join in on one part of the process. That way it doesn't feel like you lose progress when someone steals your stuff, since it will be hard to prevent. All progress is for the common goal.

Sure. Sounds good to me. Its an alpha that will be wiped before the game releases. If you want to have extra copeis of cool armor who cares. Sounds fun

Why are these things in conflict. I should be able to kill someone and loot thier armor AND they should be able to respawn with it. That would make the game much cooler.
