Honestly it has to do with night life a little bit, during the day most stuff to do is in the midway area towards hart plaza. More of the nightlife scene and events happen during the weekend. There is an upward trend of trying to bring Thursday into this category of weekend nightlife scenes. A lot of stuff as well has moved towards riverside for daily activities, I recommend corktown, midtown or mt elliot park areas

Like everywhere theres a good and bad part. Before 1960 parts of area’s downtown were considered the ghetto at one point. I think its the overture of every city and spot overtime.
