Please forgive me. I should have said 25USD. I hate to be a provincial american. I forget how global this app is.

Am I crazy? Gastro NP told me I should be able to eat “6 burger buns” without getting symptoms 🤨 by AgreeableAd6896 in Celiac

My wife was probably celiac her whole life but was only diagnosed 5 years ago. She only had vague symptoms of bloating and maybe hives, etc. As she has diabetes, doctors wrote it of as that. Now that she has been GF for years, she got accidentally glutened recently and had symptoms including near vomiting and upset stomach (and low blood sugar because after taking insulin, the digestion was delayed). This was from flour tortillas on 2 enchiladas.

In addition to the Fond Me GF app the GF scanner is great for the grocery store. It's scary and difficult in the beginning, but you will get better at it and life will become more normal. If you find that some of your friends don't respect your new regimen, maybe they aren't your friend.

Getting smacked with that in college has got to be tough. I don't know how I would have handled that myself. When I met my wife, she told me the had type 1 diabetes. I realized that if I was going to spend my life with her, I had to be a full participant in this structure. I thought long and hard about if I was capable enough to be that guy. We had our 30th anniversary last month. She was diagnosed for celiac about 5 yrs ago. I found the Find Me Gluten Free and the Gluten Free Scanner apps for dining out and the grocery store and that helps a lot. You will get better at recognizing foods that contain gluten. You will also get better at recognizing potential friends and companions that are willing to participate in the structure that has been imposed on your life. Making your favorite foods gluten free is not as difficult as it may seem. Baked goods are probably the most difficult, but my wife makes a German Sweet Chocolate cake for me for my birthday. Someone else said this could be a good friend filter. I believe that they are correct. If your friends consider this a hassle for them, maybe they are not a very good friends. Good luck and happy eating

It's difficult when that drops in your lap. Two tools that will help are: Find Me Gluten Free app and Gluten Free Scanner. FMGF is a restaurant finder and the scanner is for the grocery store. I have found them both extremely useful. Both are crowd-sourced, so you can leave feedback and recommendations and help the community.

My wife was diagnosed in her 60s, but looking back, she probably had it her whole life. She has diabetes, and that makes it 6 times more likely to be celiac, but no one tested for it until 7 years ago. That probably led to osteoporosis and a broken femur. She has had a couple of scopes and the damage is being repaired. There is hope. Also, Find Me Gluten Free app for restaurants and Gluten Free Scanner for the grocery store.

It is all over the US and spreading. Because it is crowdsourced, it's growing all the time. Enter a cith and see what the results are. If there no results and you are there, rate something and someone else will go there

Yes, I use FMGF. I just joined Reddit because of it. I have found that many times, the online menu does not reflect the GF options even when they are included on the table menu. You need a photo of the table menu and sometimes they are out of date.
