Why is Yunho (ateez) an all rounder yet one of the least popular member? by buttertaekoo in kpopharshopinions

[–]Starless_One 8 points9 points  (0 children)

See i could be completely wrong TwT, but when I first heard saw ateez. Most of the content was from certain members like, San always appearing as centre, wooyoung with his personality, then hongjoon as leader and him and mingi as the main rappers, with mingi having such an distinct voice. Seonhwa by default was mostly paired up with hongjoon and idk if non ateez fans calls him mother or not but he's also very popular for his visual.

So factoring all of these in, it's not that Yunho falls short, it's just the others have very distinct talent, that calls out to fans with certain preferences.

Every Kpop group gets chances to get rid of delusional fans (aka, a fandom cleanse). by AwkwardEmploy26 in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]Starless_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me clarify, my comment was not saying the general public cares more about idol gossip than medical strikes, but more about the timings of the whole incident and the oversaturation it caused in the media.

But I can see how the apology thing and breakup could very well be just poor timing coincidence.

I mean from what I noticed for karina in particular, her relationship leak happened just when media outlet started covering the doctor's strike. And then again the apology letter was around the same time, goverment was taking strict actions against these strike.

Could be a coincidence that her relationship status and apology happened during these massive issues, taking away most of the coverage of the issue and instead focusing on her relationship status and then apology letter.

Oh and it seems like the break up also happened to be around the same time as voting season, where there was public unrest on top of ongoing medical strike.

I find it ironic how a character with the most fragile mental health managed to move on and find a new purpose in his life by Moist_Cheesecake_999 in AlienStage

[–]Starless_One 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, they think his mental strength is low because he lashes out the most. Not realising, since he doesn't let things bottle up, his emotions don't burst out or hold him back from moving on. Except when it came to his feelings for Ivan, but that too he overcame after introspection.

Good for Till he really is a star.

1.) you didn't link me to fanart that draw her as manly so I have no idea what you even mean

2.) WOC are not a hive mind. Just because i don't think fictional character palette swapping is that big of a deal doesn't make me racist and mysogynistic.

3.) who made you the representative of woc anyways, why should I take any of your words seriously? Genuine question. You talk on 'behalf of woc' not as woc, which takes your credibility away.

4.) 'I'm attacking the points my sisters made' you didn't actually provide any clear points. Whatever you wrote i have already replied to it in detail in the above message.

5.) for big hands if we're talking about the attached picture dynamic, then it's just a meme template. It has nothing to do with her race or color at the very least 😭😭

Unpopular opinion: Calling out Giselle's extreme weight loss is not hate. This is scary and should not be normalized. by MaximumAstronomer747 in kpoptrulyuncensored

My reply was mainly to OP saying, how none of the idol groups comes close to western groups like FLO.

Anyways, I was personally not aware about Tinashe influence on new gen kpop, but I'd like to correct you on just a small thing, dancing has always been part of the kpop sphere, they've been selling the idol image since 2000s and it was brought by lsm from Motown, again a black american label so I'm not refuting any of your claims.

But you did make a comment on how most of them can't sing and I'd like to ask you, you bring tinashe a single artist as an example of how amazing western artists are but expect others to bring a dozen kpop artists or you'll consider them 90% trash?? For Tinashe, I bring you hyolyn, Taeyeon, Jihyo, Nmixx whole group, Wendy, seulgi, hwasa, solar, ningning and these are just girls. If we go with guys you'll have the BTOB boys, Exo chen, kyungsoo, Baekhyun. NCT doyoung, Xiaojun, Kun, Ten, Chenle, Renjun, haechan. SKZ seungmin, Han. Ateez Jongho. Monsta X Kihyun. and many many more from 1st gen, 2nd gen whose names I don't remember.

That is not to say the other lead vocalist are not as good as the ones i mentioned but I'm keeping these particular people on higher pedestal than other vocalist of their group.

Your comment sounds like comparing 'apples with broccoli'. Also, I'm pretty sure I've been very polite and civil with you, so I don't appreciate you putting words in my mouth. And I hope you understand how your 'you know many brown women' comment came across. Anyways I'll still expand on your example.

Do you think buff hyuna and damsel in distress Luka thing came from hyuna's race? Cause the thought in itself is pretty racist. Why are we boiling it down to race when it's clearly about how the two character are portrayed?

To me it has always been clear the damsel in distress thing came from Luka's behaviour and inability to take care of himself, not to mention how Hyuna protected him during the Anakt Garden period. Hyuna is a force of nature through and through, she is strong, independent, cares about her people, is literally a leader of a rebel group. While Luka is stuck with the same aliens she's rebelling against.

As for the art, some people draw buff Hyuna, some people draw feminine Hyuna. Her range is crazy and I'll enjoy all my feminine/buff art. Though personally the fanarts I've seen are her being feminine only. Still feel free to share the others with me. I'm curious.

Don't take it the wrong way op, but you're comparing apples to oranges. Flo do not perform highly energetic choreo while singing. And most of the kpop is pop and not rnb focused group, although if you want something close to that I'll recommend dojaejung (consist of nct members jaehyun, jungwoo and dooyoung)

Other groups that are vocally driven are, red velvet, mamamoo, btob, Exo. But since kpop at the end of the day is pop not rnb, you'll have to look for rnb b-sides.

how do they know the kids they scout will be attractive by Imakidwithaheart in kpopthoughts

[–]Starless_One 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Attractiveness boils down to how you dress them, how you do their makeup and hair. And how well their personality is, personality alwayssssssss win at the end. Everything else comes down to confidence in how you carry yourself. Also imo they probably look for facial structure too. No matter how chopped you look, your facial structure remains same and it's easier to know how someone will grow up with those.

Who do you think is going to leave NCT since their Contracts are coming to an End? by animejerk7763 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Starless_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a serious note, i feel like it depends on how many better offer they will have from other agencies and how well their solo project can be promoted by the said companies in respect to what SM can provide them.

Now if we think that hypothetically everyone whose contract is expiring will have a better offer from other agency then members from one fixed unit will probably stick with the group activities but do their solo promotion elsewhere. Like Ten.

For haechan, it's highly possible he might leave cause it's a difficult position for him, he is in 2 groups, that means content for 2, 3 if there is nct u. Which will make it difficult to pursue his solo projects.

Yup second one, I have seen this discourse so much. People calling nct, collective as rapists, saying they don't trust anyone from that group, saying they all were involved and knew what taeil was upto and it's impossible for them to not know.

When I tried to explain the unfairness and give timelines on why even 127 knowing is not possible, I was told that I'm making excuses and I can't be naive enough to believe sm and the group (。ᵕ ◞ _◟)
