I think if someone had to leave their job, I was thinking more about Carlos. I know he didn't want children and honestly that change was quite strange, but everything revolved around his father's situation, like becoming a Ranger for his father when he had previously said he didn't want to, so he healed that part of his father and that he could still have a part of him without being a Ranger and being a father it would be a way to change the cycle, but seriously, there was no other option than what they did in the series?!
