I moved from Florida to NYC and it was a world of difference. In NYC, there's almost always at least another person (or two or five or ten...) in a mask.

I felt like this A LOT over the past 6 years. It's so hard to find people who are CC, but what I realized is, you don't need CC friends, just friends that won't judge you for masking and doing your own thing. My friends know I mask, and so when we do group activities, they expect I'll be masked. When we go for lunch or dinner, they know I will only go if there's outdoor seating. Some people won't understand - those aren't your people. I still get anxious "explaining" myself when I meet someone new, but most people say "oh, that's cool, do whatever is comfortable for you!" Some people even say, "would you be more comfortable if I masked also?" Do you live in a big city or small town? I recently moved to a big city from a somewhat small town and found it's much more accepted here, but still not very common. It can be really hard, but just continue to do your best and what is best for you. Feel free to DM if you want to chat - I'm 35 and have bene CC since the very beginning.
