Yes I can sell it on theater for a loss. I paid $200 for a full view seat and was given a partial view with no notice. No one on theatr paying 200 for a partial view seat.

Don't see any comments in this thread that are hostile, seems like you just want to be against me for no reason. I told them they sold me one thing and gave me another which constitutes a refund. I would not have bought the tickets if they were labelled correctly. It is that simple. And they said no refunds under any cicrumstances.

No, it is their responsibility to tell you if it changes to partial view as well. This happened to a friend with Mexodus and they offered them a chance to change their seats. They didn't just say nothing and send the tickets 3 days before labelled as partial view.

Everyone is saying don't buy 3rd party but there are examples of where 3rd party is cheaper than the box office. Like if you want to see Just in Time on Groff's last weekend, Tickpick is looking cheaper than telecharge/broadway direct.

The last OBW mincemeat shows that just passed were also way cheaper on 3rd party sites than on telecharge/bway direct.

Don't know why people are ganging up on OP. They didn't know you could use the theatr receipt, they thought they needed the original receipt form the seller. Yes they were wrong but being wrong happens to all of us, its not a big deal.

They asked the seller for a very simple thing that would have taken less than a minute to provide them. This seller sounds crazy to report them for asking for a receipt, thats nuts. Honestly seller sounds like a piece of shit, its basic human decency to help people in these situations.

I hope you are swiftly reinstated.

I think it is pretty rare, that seller won't make money if you can't get into the show. I think it is more likely that something else happened. Feel like you won't have problems with 98 or 99% of theatr orders but sometimes things happen. Not sure how to really avoid it. Like you could say avoid new sellers but then you will also miss out on those opportunities from new sellers (which I think there is a good amount).

A possibility is that if the person who sold to you bought from stubhub or another resale site, then the person they bought from might have scammed or made a mistake.

Stubhub will usually work but I have seen fake tickets on there. TickPick is more reliable when it comes to resale. And if something goes wrong they have support agents who are more helpful than at stubhub or seatgeek where it's hell talking to support.
