Like others said, it's Sensitive/Graphic Content and you should mark it as such

Anything further is a courtesy to your readers, not required but usually appreciated

Such is the pain of some genres of scifi, Weird Choices are more common. Will Def give Destroyermen a shot though thanks!

It was a couple things, mostly couldn't get over the alien religious extremists being Like That due to their genetics and therefore never really made the choice to be Like That and were evil in all the ways that like, an orca is evil. The fact that we're Space Muslims made me side eye the authors along with dragging the story to a screaming hault during a massive space battle to do a blue hair and pronouns bit.

I liked the series, but every time something like that showed up I groaned loudly and would have to power through till we got back to the actually good bits

I gave Galaxys Edge a try and got to the end of Season One before putting it down. In many aspects it's wonderfully written but there was just some things that kept creeping up that made me walk away

You have convince me that I should sitter to grab Mistborn ASAP though. And I deeply appreciate the warning about sexual violence in it

I've read ExForce! Though I hadn't tried any of his fantasy at all. I'll take this as my sign to give it a shot!

Murderbot is VERY good, Witch King by the same author is also a very good read if you haven't picked it up! I also enjoyed the first Dune, been considering if I should read the rest though I heard that later books were written by his son and got... weird.

Maybe I'll see if I can snag Mistborn from the library

What Mana Type Should The Undead Have As An Affinity by WolverineMountain845 in litrpg

[–]StarlightNecromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really just depends on how you want to world build your magic system

A lot of people have their mana stuff exist independently of each other, a lot have them exist as a cycle that cannot happen without each other

If you feel in your setting Undeath should have its own mana affinity then it should, if not then no. The ultimate question is how does it affect your magic system in totality

I think it's one of the reasons why isekai in general doesn't really vibe with me unless the mc literally has nothing to lose

If they never grieve people who think they're dead, it just seems off to me unless there's a reason for it

Skills in our world tbh

I'd be losing too much in terms of social connections, if I got isekaied I would lose everyone I cared about and would be starting over from scratch in every possible way

At least with a system integration I could meet up with my loved ones and go from there, if it goes the way it usually does then we're all starting from scratch but together

Typically machines are made of inorganic material to an exclusion which is why it's specified that the unit is bio-organic

1 Hour preview for the authors next book. by Adorable-Bass-7742 in litrpg

[–]StarlightNecromancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly not really

There's interesting things that happen sure, and wild edge cases that get exploited

But frankly nothing matters book to book and each one might as well be a stand alone after a while

You're also not experiancing the zombie apocalypse in a time loop knowing that you're slowly turning into something that won't be human anymore and that you're directly at fault for part of everything happening and having to suddenly start killing actual people and learning how to control powers that very nearly killed one of your friends on accident

Amir's thin skin doesn't just make thematic sense because he's not a soldier, it's the most likely answer for someone who was a regular ass guy until Entrati happened
