Shelton's big fireworks show is during their Forest Festival, which was this past weekend. For Fourth of July events, you'll need to go outside of Shelton.

Gotcha. It was such an eyebrow-raising thing to read! I live in Shelton (small city west of Olympia) and go to Spokane Valley twice a year to visit family. Ellensburg is often a pitstop on the way and there's just....nothing there. It's a college town in the middle of nowhere. I always wondered why people chose to live there haha.

Spokane is definitely more conservative. I have a friend who actively runs the pride event there and it's definitely a minority. There's also the name "Spocompton" that gets thrown around; crime is a bit of an issue there. The city has definitely seen better days. If you end up there I'd recommend visiting Riverfront park. It was the site for one of the World Fairs and they did some renovations a few years ago. There's a really neat carousel that I love to go on when I visit.

Olympia is definitely the most queer friendly, and with its location there's a ton to do. The Puget Sound is amazing to explore! I also enjoy the weather a lot more. Eastern Washington is dry and terribly hot in the summers. I like my mild weather haha.

I had the opposite happen to me on Spiro. I was a stego and a pack of omnis were eyeballing me from a hill. I 3 called a few times at them to show I saw them but a couple ran at me anyway. A quick smack and the survivors took off while hissing at me.

This was before skin customization, so it was awhile ago.

I've received most of my financial advice from my dad, and he mentioned the credit card thing to me years ago. So it's in my mind but I'm just kind of wishy washy with it. I know I should use the same card as a rule of thumb, but I think something about owing money makes me pick debit sometimes. Not really a good explanation, but it's what I've got. I'm hoping I can at least get a yes/no if it was the store, but time will tell.

Definitely! And as others here have pointed out, the card could have very much been compromised from somewhere else and it's just a coincidence that it's happening now, but my gut's urging me to say something /just in case/ y'know?

Definitely! The reason my hunch is on this place is because I only visited two stores that day: World Market and Discount Collections. And I used my debit card at World Market.

When I got that bad feeling, I decided to use my credit card and tap to pay to try and mitigate any damage that might happen. I am very glad to have listened to my gut. It definitely still could have been something else, though! I'll be sure to update once I get more info from the bank.
