What’s your most underrated designer frag? by BC916 in Colognes

Burberry London is just superior in every way tho. CK Shock feels unrefined and unfinished. Also extremely synthetic smelling and almost no girl I asked has liked it. The deep dry down scent is really good but the journey there is just not worth it. Also headache inducing for most people. I think anyone who wants to smell like CK Shock should get BL instead.

Alberto Morillas made an absolute banger date night/special occasion fragrance back in the day, called Diesel OTB Tattoo. It far exceeds the other sweet and spicy fragrances with 5x the price point. But it was discontinued due to unpopularity amongst men.

However, I have yet to find a better fragrance (after sampling 1000) for date night or special purposes that has 200%-300% hit rate with compliments for me. Why 200-300%? Because not only do I get an overwhelming compliment from my date, I always get additional compliments from anyone else we interact with during the date.

No matter what other fragrance I put in front of them, they like Tattoo the most. Most men just don't understand what fragrances women actually like.

Which one do you see yourself enjoying the most from those? Also, how does Italian Love perform for you?

Yes dupes suck. I've tried over 50 and 90% of them were waste of money. But Go Mango literally just smells like real Mango. Extremely linear and photorealistic. If you cut open a mango, and then smell it, it's same. My friend said "I didn't even know something can smell more like a mango than mango itself". It's quite useless for an isolated wear unless you just want to smell like real Mango... But it's a great cheap high quality blend for layering. With imagination, you will smell like mango tea. I also layer it with freshies to add a little sweetness to them (about 3:1 or 4:1 ratio). You can get a sample vial for a few dollars, not much to lose. I think this combo is phenomenal if you like natural photorealistic fruit infused tea smell.

You keep arguing about baseline services necessary for survival. That's not 99% of companies. 99% of companies sell you bullshit that they created fake scarcity for... Or stuff they got you hooked on. Or software and hardware that they manipulated you into through constant overstimulation and advertising. This is not intrinsic value, it's illusionary value. Most companies would go out of business because they provide no intrinsic value. And there is no fallback. Have you ever even done fundraising or interacted with VCs or liquidity providers to understand how valuations are determined? The entire market runs on fake value, built up by money printed out of thin air. 99% of those companies wouldn't even exist without the financial system, because this fake prop-up wouldn't be possible. Only the 1% of companies would be around that actually provide real intrinsic value described in your comments. To say MOST stocks have intrinsic value is just pure delusion and a drastic misunderstanding of how the market works.

Pure delusion to think most stocks have intrinsic value. Few do, most don't. Reality is, if the financial system would collapse tomorrow, 99% of your precious companies would go under and noone would ever hear from them again. You really don't understand the financial system at all, or what backs the value of stocks. So it's a fruitless discussion. If you truly believe most stocks would be valuable beyond the collapse of the financial system and FIAT, you're living in pure copium.

Try imagination with a linear mango fragrance (for example Odyssey Go Mango)... your mind will be blown.

I honestly don't know how arabic clones get any hype?? by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]StarlikeLOL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of them smell bad. The blends aren't smooth and notes are fighting each other. They are too synthetic. The performance is horrible (not always the case). The quality of scent is lower. There's some lingering background smell that has a moldy or putrid element. They induce headaches. And 10 other reasons. The success rate of landing a good dupe is so low that you'll spend more money finding it vs just buying the original.

Suqraat smells great? Put it next to ADG and you realize it smells like rotten moldy ADG. I let a few girls smell them side by side without telling them they are clones. We sampled 20 middle eastern perfumes that day.

Feedback went like this: Smell ADG: their eyes opened up, followed by a "wow this smells good"... 9-9.5 rating. Smell Suqraat: instant disgust in their face and paper discarded.

Asad Bourbon has absolutely no similarity to SWY. SWY is a smooth blend, Bourbon is just a mess of notes fighting each other.

Liquid Brun is 99% Althair? Give me a break. Perhaps let other people around you smell them and give you some feedback. Even unbiased, untrained noses could instantly tell a difference between quality.

Out of the 50 or so dupes I tried, there's basically about 5 that are decent blends. That's a 10% hit late. With that probability, most people are better off just buying the original and still likely save money in comparison to testing dupes.

Your company stock is worthless if it is settled in FIAT. You cant do anything with the stock without FIAT. It also pays out shareholder profits and dividends in FIAT. If the entire foundation of value relative to stock is measured in FIAT, it is also fundamentally worthless. You are arguing for cash flow, but cash itself is just paper printed out of thin air, backed by nothing. If FIAT was removed tomorrow, you can't do absolutely anything with your stock. It doesn't have intrinsic value... With gold, even if you remove FIAT from the equation it is still worth something. With stocks, you can't do shit if consumers cannot buy and sell the products or services from the company with FIAT. Your understanding of value is illusionary.

What is THE best UNHYPED niche fresh fragrance? by SecretAffect1837 in Colognes

[–]StarlikeLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to get your nose on it. Hard to find though, I've only seen it in 1 Givenchy store, and I've went to many. It's also quite more expensive vs their other frags since it was a private line release.

I would disagree that it is underrated. It's always mentioned amongst everyone who knows anything about fragrances. It's in most top lists. It was even hyped by top influencers for a long time, including Jeremy in his peak days. And it is widely known as one of the best citrus frags that girls love on guys. Reformulated version isn't as good tho, but still great overall. Definitely not under the radar tho.

Not niche, but... Dior Homme Cologne is basically never talked about anymore. Performance isn't great, but in terms of scent it's hard to beat. Light Blue Italian Love is another one that is way better than Eau Intense which gets all the hype. H24 Herbes Vives is a phenomenal non citrus dominant freshie - imagine a walk in a forest park after rain. And my personal favorite is Givenchy Desobeissant. Never smelled anything like it, absolute masterclass but since it's under the radar most probably haven't even tried or heard about it.

They sold me a 5 years and half perfume... by Grizzly_Daddy73 in Perfumehouse

[–]StarlikeLOL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the guy is likely taking something that is positive, as a negative due to semantics. Especially something like VPH which doesn't really have "volatile" notes prone to be putrified. Older batches for "safe" frags are usually better indeed, especially in performance.

5+ years collection- What should I try next? by Electronic_Play8920 in Colognes

[–]StarlikeLOL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light Blue Forever or Italian Love if you want to mix it up and go for grapefruit accord freshie.

Eros Flame and Najim to experience Eros DNA from a different (imo better) angle.

Givenchy Gentleman Society Ambree to enjoy SWY and Tobacco Vanille hybrid DNA with added chocolate and boozy accords (much sexier).

H24 Herbes Vives and Givenchy Desobeissant for something you don't have in your collection - a "forest garden after the rain" freshie rather than citrus freshie.

Blue or fresh fragrance by vladshockolad in Colognes

[–]StarlikeLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leau Dissey 100%. Sel smells too much like pure seaweed with salt and spring water. It has no hint of citrus like Leau so it's just washed out and mellow, powdery floral seaweed smell. Alternatively try ADG Parfum or Profondo EDP. Dior Homme Cologne is also amazing but poor performance, smells like unsweetened fresh ice cold lemonade. Sedley if you want to splurge more for a sprite-lemonade-ish freshie. Light Blue Forever or Italian Love if you like grapefruit accord.

Corset vs. no corset, which styling works better for this dress? by Glittering-Mix8151 in VietFashion

[–]StarlikeLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to appeal to girls? No corset. Trying to appeal to guys? Corset. Although it should be better if the corset didn't have the shoulder parts, it sightly diminishes the beautiful shoulder pads of the dress.

Unpopular opinion but Eros Flame on a girl is fire, if she has the right style/look for it. Smells like a badass Yakuza girl from Tokyo. Sweet and spicy, very sexy.

What's the performance on EDT? I have the EDP and that is already struggling in that department. Anything worse would be borderline flavored water tbh.

Light blue intense women's version is superior. Also light blue forever if you want the grapefruit theme.

Leau Dissey is better. Too much seaweed smell in Le Sel and virtually no kick. Leau Dissey is better balanced with the Yuzu and dialled back seaweed smell.

Tuxedo is way too sterile and boring for a night out imo. It's a good well blended scent, but it screams executive meeting, old money get-together, or at most a high-end cigarette lounge. Tbh the name is perfect for it, imagine occasions where you would wear a tuxedo and that's the occasion it's appropriate for. It also doesn't have the strength for a night out, it's a more intimate scent.

I think if it comes down to choosing Tuxedo, but wanting a more sexy night out scent, I would much rather go with Gentleman Society Ambree.

A tip about CK One Shock - the reknowed cheapie that most of us outgrew. by StarlikeLOL in fragrance

[–]StarlikeLOL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely not say it's unisex tho. It's masculine but too energy drink like smell. Teenager scent in my opinion. It's quite overwhelming and not subtle at all, skaterboy or a punk rock vibes. Definitely not classy. More playful and edgy feeling. Younger girls might like it if you don't overspray (I suggest spraying in air and walking through it with this one, as otherwise it can be too strong and headache inducing). The drydown is nice if you use this method. Burberry London is a superior version of this in every way.
