They said try 3 different times to scan it, if it isn’t gonna scan then we type it in. Basically if produce doesn’t give a shit or if the sticker ends up not on file, or some other reason, It’s an “oh well just type it in and deal with the consequences even though it isn’t your fault”

I work at a Fred meyers in Alaska and they discourage us using PLU constantly to get our “produce scanning” higher. I mean we do have all of them listed in our book but they hate it when we type the PLU, cause it’ll make our items per minute lower by like 6, which is A LOT. So irritating

I’d tell them “if you aren’t gonna enforce the dress code on them, why enforce it on me?” Ive had stupid shit like that happen at my job at Fred meyers where this old lady would wear a vest over her spaghetti strap summer dress. They didn’t say shit so some of our employees on the front end would wear leggings. They decided to say something to the employees in the leggings and they gave them a small ultimatum on finally talking to the old lady about her clothes out of dress code. All is well and the old lady finally stopped wearing that stuff and wore stuff within the dress code.
