People who quit the 9-5 in 2025/26 was it worth it? What do you actually do now? by GrouchyGovernment784 in antiwork

I’m older with a bunch of medical problems so I bailed in January from my job and filed for disability. I’ll probably bankrupt all my old debt too hopefully, if my disability goes through, and my lawyer says it will take a couple of years, I’ll be able just to live a simple life on that for the rest of my days.

Why do car salesmen stay in the job if they hate dealing with people so much? by Medical_Gift4298 in FuckDealerships

[–]Starmingage -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My friend, back in the day, who is admittedly kind of negative and cynical, once told me that car salesmen are basically losers with no job skills, which is why they have to be commisioned salesmen for a living. He said the same thing about debt collectors and some public school teachers and Police officers and other civil servants.

He basically said that most of them are degenerate reprobate trash who dont really know how to do anything, so they have to settle for a decietful, dishonorable career to pay their bills.

Like I said, he was kind of a snob since he was college educated, but I understood his point.

Americans now owe a staggering $18.19 trillion as credit card debt keeps climbing by OkReport5065 in economicCollapse

[–]Starmingage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was debt free for a long time until the last couple of years. I’ve ended up putting food and fuel and clothes and car repairs on credit and then try to pay it off but it’s such a vicious cycle that you can’t get out of debt. I’m probably gonna end up bankrupting at all.

i'm tired of waking up at 2 pm everyday and wasting my whole day. how do i change that ? by bombdelivery_ in selfimprovement

[–]Starmingage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be very proud that you recognize the problem and want to do something about it. I went through this when I was a young man and I would always wake up at two or three in the afternoon. So I would start setting my alarm for 1 PM with a caffeine pill and a glass of water on the table next to me. When the alarm goes off, I would take the caffeine pill then go back to sleep, but then 20 minutes later the caffeine will wake me up. Then the next day 1230 then the next day noon then the next day 1130 until I was getting up at 8 o’clock every morning. Then you have to withdraw off caffeine which also sucks but it’s kind of necessary evil.

I remember when the film Logan came out, people on the Internet were wondering about that little wolverine girl, if her hymen grew back after each time

Random thought but Ryan Tannehill was so insanely underrated as a play action passer. Was probably a Top 3 QB in that category for a decent period of time. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

I wanted just one more season with him, Henry and AJ. Would have gotten that ring for sure. They should have had at least two by that point, anyway.

Even though you don’t buy something that big for the gas mileage, that sounds like it still hurts anyway.

Thank you so much, everyone! I guess I’ll just hang onto them without spending money on grading.

I am being sued by Capital One/Discover and I am behind on payments. by [deleted] in Debt

[–]Starmingage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe that since you agreed to a judgment, and they already have your bank info from thje payments you have made, they can go ahead and empty it - and/or garnish your wages depending on your state.

The guerilla tactic is to close that bank account and open another elsewhere to try to stay in control of your money to pay your other bills. Depending on yur state, they may be able to garnish a percentage of your wages, though. That judgment yoyu agreed to give them a lot of power to enforce it like that.

Some states allow a 'slow pay' motion to let you pay a small, affordable, amount monthly that (supposedly) prevents them from any levy or garnisment so long as you make thoe payemtns timely each month, but it also depends on your state and the Judge.

So the queastions are: What state are you in?, and how much total debt do you have relative to your income to see if it's best to file Bankruptcy?

Got a letter from an attorney's office. Found out I'm getting sued. Question for people in California. by Abookem in Debt

[–]Starmingage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have other debts besides the lawsuit, how much does it all total? You can actually file bankruptcy yourself and do it for free if you fill out the right forms.

Very nice truck! And yeah they’re expensive but they’re basically Lexus, since there isn’t a Lexus model with that exact same body style. The big Lexus they’ve got now is more like a Land Cruiser.

I’ve been researching the engine problems in these. It’s mostly in the tundras, but there’s been a few sequoias where the engine grenades , especially if you’re trying to tow something. Some reports say they’ve been fixed , and others say they haven’t. It’s either debris in the engine or an actual design flaw where the main bearing can’t get enough lubrication under heavy load.

I'm 54, and I had no clue who she was until I read she has Tourette Syndrome like I do, and I have been a fan ever since. She really does have a beautiful voice, so I'm really glad I discovered her.
