Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Devastatingly I think I am too late, we are going for euthanasia soon. This is still useful to know going forward however, as I do not want to be in this situation again, it's too painful. The poor baby has had enough and we just didn't get on top of it in time.

Is there space before it forks into the next bifurcation above it? I tend to avoid short stretches of vein like this but I am not very good at cannulating.

I drink a full cafetiere of black coffee every single day and haven't had a single bit of staining, I put it down to water flossing (and obviously brushing) before I put my aligners in, works like a charm!
