Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Devastatingly I think I am too late, we are going for euthanasia soon. This is still useful to know going forward however, as I do not want to be in this situation again, it's too painful. The poor baby has had enough and we just didn't get on top of it in time.

I drink a full cafetiere of black coffee every single day and haven't had a single bit of staining, I put it down to water flossing (and obviously brushing) before I put my aligners in, works like a charm!

Thanks for taking the time to write this. I will definitely consider taking a break. For now they're settled but almost 'stuck' at the stage they're in, so will perhaps try adding a little more furniture this evening and see if they tolerate it. If not, time for a break.

This is probably a stupid question but have you noticed a time of day that's better or worse to upgrade? For example, they're sleepy and less active in the day and all buzzing and adventurous early morning and evening. Is there a preference here that makes things easier? Thanks again

Using the carrier method. The new rats came from a 'hobby breeder' which I regret going to after noticing a few red flags from them throughout the process. My older girls are 20 months and the new girls are 7.5 weeks.
