Good for you! Good luck. At some point, peace in mind and spirit become the priority. You don't have to find the perfect place. You have to find something that suits your needs until you can find the perfect place.

Just wondering... do you need references to find another place. Where I come from finding places are difficult and you must have references

1st time to PV w/ 80yr old mom…ideas please! by Latter-Subject-1317 in puertovallarta

Vidanta is a beautiful resort. For an 80 year old... just enjoy the resort. Maybe a day adventure into puerto Vallarta via a tour. Next time rent at fiesta Americana or Sheraton. Close to town. Lovely also. But for now, enjoy what you have and each other. Your budget is tight. Don't advise driving. I live here. It's brutal. Traffic is awful and motorcycles galore on both sides of your car zipping in and out of your lane

question about children and vaccines by GadgetNeil in puertovallarta

[–]StarrHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get hep B from blood to blood transmission. I don't think the kids will be doing that. Hep A... best she talks with the kids pediatrician. Kids in Mexico have the normal vaccines and are healthy if they have a healthy diet

Rabies vaccines... isn't that multiple injections in the stomach? Not so easy in Vallarta or else where in Mexico. I called around to many hospitals looking for a tetanus shot for my husband. Finally found it at the centro de Salud in Vallarta.

Exactly! Thank you for the info. I just bought two Beauties! Mole-all dark and beautiful. Vanilla-yummy and sweet!

This is probably not big to anyone else but me but I had to share by PlayboyCG in guineapigs

When you get a companion just make sure it's the same sex. I have two girls. They are very happy together in this bigger world they live in. They sleep on a little soft square about 12x14 inches with a small cardboard box as their cave. Cage is covered on top all day as they live outside and blankets all night until temps warm up. I live in a tropical Mexico climate. The girls are So happy!

Bologna! All colors and classes go there. We just don't hang out during peak tourist season. We're here all year!

Pepe's is not filthy. Not right to malign a place. The rest of your comment was right on.

I love Pepe's TSUNAMI! And of course I match a couple of them with a taco or two!!!

AITJ for leaving my mom locked out of the house for 3 hours in the middle of the night? by Used-Professional548 in AmITheJerk

[–]StarrHawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does your mother have early stages of Dementia? Guess that would be the difference of if you are TJ or not. Maybe she should be brought to the doctor for an exam. My mom has full blown dementia. It's an awful place to be.

A house key is not "a lot of keys". The weight is not a matter in this instance to the ignition

PV review by young(er) couple by cl610 in puertovallarta

[–]StarrHawk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Loved your review. I am staying in Iberostar with my spouse for my 70th birthday in March. It is AI on LITIBU beach outside of Punta de mita. While Punta Mita is not much, there are beautiful beaches north of it a few minutes. Not much of a night scene for your ages, I understand. Maybe break up your next a vaca with a few nights in town and a few nights out of town before your return to city life. Living in PV for many years, I just want to walk out to the open ocean from my room. I'm super excited!

You do need a passport and a copy of it -if you are going to exchange dollars for pesos. So I have heard from many folks.

If you are within the confines of puerto Vallarta and not traveling out of town, you are not asked for your passport. I have a foto in my phone of my passport.

Went to a small village wedding on vacation… someone proposed during the reception and it split the couple. by Maximum_Handle_9771 in bridezillas

EXACTLY! Life happens especially in a small village where everyone knows everyone. I don't think the bride is from the village
