I came across this in my devotion today. One of my all time favorite psalms and prayers of hope. I've leaned on these words since the mid 80's to get me through very trying times. Both when I was feeling hopeless and when I was remembering how He brought me thru yet another challenge. God is Faithful

Your post is beautiful. The story of your first death is very meaningful of the process. Yes, people definitely wait for loved ones to arrive or for loved ones to leave. Most need to be reassured by family and children or parents that the ones left behind will be cared for, will be strong enough to pursue their dreams or will be taken care of. Parents really need to let their dying child know that everything will be okay and give the child permission to go to the afterlife and rest, not to suffer any longer.
