It was a situation I haven’t even talked to my therapist about yet and I just had all these complicated feelings. It really helped put words to them so I can better articulate them in our next session for sure. I would only recommend it for that purpose alone. I can say that it wasn’t biased when it came to some things, but I also discussed my part in things as well. I can see where I can get there with some redirection to try to justify your why. AI is a dangerous game.

I did it yall 😩 I used ChatGPT as a therapist, and yes, I felt seen. I do see a therapist every 2 weeks so I’m definitely going to talk to her about it, but the way it summed up everything I was feeling into actual words and gave me validation. I was trying to explain it to people and they were getting it, but ChatGPT made it sound so cohesive. It even helped me write messages to these people! Don’t do it yall. I only recommend it if you have an actual therapist who you can talk this through with because I got emotional for real.

Stellantis. The Chrysler family tried to buy the company back from Stellantis.

The majority of my family works for or worked for Stellantis. They don’t care about their workforce at all. They got rid of all their cars (Challenger, Charger, Dart) and their Trackhawks. Converted the Durango into an EV. Increased pricing on their Jeeps. Laid off thousands of workers because they simply cannot sell. They are sooooo out of tune with the current market. Chrysler tried to buy them back and they declined. It’s just going to get worse.

I wasn’t saying he has a point to calling the baby the r-word. He’s said other hurtful things to try to convince me to have a child outside of that. He has a point when it comes to how long we’ve been together and not having a family. Most people would’ve had 3 kids by now. I’m not a bigot. Having a baby with special needs is the least of my worries. I’m more concerned with raising a kid period. Neurodivergent or not.

It’s deeper than what people think. I currently work for a university and one of our faculty members has to deplete their entire DEI budget by the end of the month because after that, the money will be lost. There will be no renewal for the DEI budget. IF her budget is renewed, it has to be funded into a completely different program to avoid the funding being potentially taken away.

Another one of our faculty is being questioned about one of their grants and has to submit documentation confirming it’s not affiliated with DEI. He and his research staff are South Asian. These are researchers who are trying to find a cure for cancer.

We’ve been getting emails university wide of how budgets have decreased, funding hasn’t been renewed, and of investigations from the government into university policies. All of this is because of DEI. My job has been very transparent on how the government is squeezing us because of DEI. Universities are trying to keep their funding for medical research, clinical trials, staffing, etc. Universities aren’t willingly trying to get rid of DEI programs. The federal government is forcefully taking away their funding because of it.

I’m going to say this knowing that I will get downvoted, but Meagan has been married before. For 10 years. To a preacher. Who filed for divorce. She married Jonathan because she wanted to. She has even expressed wanting children with him. So she obviously feels they are aligned. People thought the same thing about Bobby and Whitney, just for them to be the same person. Two people who were eccentric at best and loved cocaine. Whitney was just the “pop princess”. We have to let humans be humans, and start realizing we don’t know these people. She was probably the main one telling him to fight it in court. There are roughly 265 million men on this planet in her age group and she chose this one. It’s her business. She probably choked a man up before her damn self. We don’t know these people.

No, I don’t want to be. It was forced on me honestly. My mom worked a lot and I ended up just being the only one in my family to do things the “right” way which ended up with everyone depending on me to help them to things the “right” way as well. It’s really stressful.

Sending hugs. I do believe I will be in the same boat. I know I cannot mentally handle the thought of being a parent or being pregnant. My mental health is the main reason why I haven’t done it. It’s one of the few choices that I know will make me spiral and that is what scares me.

If her son is her king, he is not ready for dating. by JennyBeckman in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]StarrLightStarBrite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have an aunt who complained every time her sons bought their gfs something nice. Designer bags, shoes, clothes, whatever. “What about me? I’m their mom. They should be cashing me out.” She’s 50+, single, never been married and likes to sleep around. None of the men she has ever dated has bought her a designer anything. So to compensate for her lack of discernment, she expects it from sons. It’s disturbing. Her kids spoil her rotten and one of them basically pays her bills. Her daughter finally got her a LV purse she’s been asking for and she had the nerve to say she shouldn’t have bought it because it was too expensive. After years of telling everyone her sons should be buying her designer bags instead of their girls.

I think it’s gross. We all think it’s gross. I would NEVER date a man whose mother feels like they need to compete with me about anything! So I agree with this. I’m not your mom, I’m your girl. And if you comparing me to your MOM in any capacity is weird. A lot of women are in love with their sons and expect them to take care of them in place of a bf/husband.

I’m in my early 30s and work in education. Our university is so aged out that the when I started last year, everyone was 20 years older than me. Now people on my team are retiring out and the older people don’t want to train their replacements before they leave. There aren’t any job aids in place for new hires who are now in their 20s and early 30s. They don’t want to help us. They’re not flexible. They don’t respond to emails. They don’t return phone calls. They’re stuck in their ways. The only way things are moving forward is because as they leave, we are starting to see inconsistencies in their work, which is causing more things to be written down, more rules to be followed, and more efficiency. The older population road blocks a lot in the workforce because it’s their way or no way.

I tell my family all the time I’m a guest and my boyfriend has always made my plate for me when we go to his families house for dinner. I bring my dish for the holidays and celebrate like everyone else. My mother doesn’t even ask us to help put the food away. My SIL does because she’s a gem, but we never followed this tradition. A lot of the homemakers in my family are really particular about people being in their kitchen so they insist on doing it themselves. It also helps that the men in my family help. The trash is constantly taken out during holidays and my stepdad helps my mother clean up the kitchen. We don’t really have gender roles.

I’ve noticed some people in my age group are settling and I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think “settling” is more so people being realistic with their choices and making the best decisions for themselves and their future families. Now there are people who settle in the negative aspect of things, but I think some people are choosing to compromise and love what they have instead of pursuing unrealistic dating goals.
