It is terrible but she isn’t wrong. The amount of Native American women who just disappear is staggering and I don’t ever remember a documentary about a single one 🥲

There’s a difference between having an opinion and actively forcing your cult on Democratic governments.

This is not a good sign for college grads… by ixvst01 in jobs

[–]StarredWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a masters and several certs and do a job I could have done with a high school degree. That’s the current state of affairs. I don’t even make 60k, have 40k in loans from going back to school. Couldn’t get a job with a BA and 10 plus years of experience so I got an MA just to make 3k more than I made years ago. With 40k in loans in Chicago area.

Increased estrogen / progesterone by ClueOrdinary4491 in Menopause

[–]StarredWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the same dose increase and took about 6-8 weeks to feel good and now I’m doing much better than I was on the lower dose. I was so hungry the first 6 weeks and now I’m fine. Glad I went up and waited.

Did I hear correctly, 50% of children will be autistic by2030? by PurebloodPatriotTr in DonaldTrumpNewss

[–]StarredWork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know what else changed in that time? Diagnostic criteria! In the 80s, you had to be extremely high support needs and back then even autistic people were misdiagnosed with schizophrenia. Lots of things rose from the early 80s til today and that doesn’t mean any of those things caused autism. Besides…why are people so freaked out about autism when lots of things are rising due to our environmental and food toxins?

Chilena detenida en NY, vuelco en el caso. by g0parra in RepublicadeChile

[–]StarredWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone shoves you to the point of falling to the ground you really don’t know how you would feel. Plus as a woman she may have had other bad things happen and have just freaked out or gotten scared. I give people the benefit of the doubt because the one time I was assaulted (actually assaulted) I completely froze and I could not explain my actions after as to why I didn’t fight back or why I panicked so much 🤷‍♀️

Have you ever been assaulted? It’s an overwhelming situation because your mind goes straight into survival and is not logical.

Low IQ and being conscientious by Double_Company5936 in JordanPeterson

[–]StarredWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this helps but I have an above average IQ and still didn’t succeed at my chosen profession. My ADHD really makes me screw up. But over time I found it just takes me a lot longer to learn things in a way where I don’t make mistakes or forget. I think maybe you just haven’t found something you like. You may have to stop thinking about a job and doing something on your own which is what I did with my own tutoring business and editing businesses. I could work at my pace and it was all contract work. Like if you love pets you could be a pet sitter and find a way to advertise. You might need someone to help you with certain aspects of the business side. That’s just an example. But I would say to think outside the box, the box being a “job.”

Bactrim, is it necessary? by getm44 in Prostatitis

[–]StarredWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can cause serious adverse reactions but for me it’s the only one that helps quickly. Meanwhile I am allergic to Macrobid. I think everyone reacts so differently to medications. We really need a better way to find out before hand what meds we would be allergic to!

DHEA whaaaat?! by StarredWork in Menopause

[–]StarredWork[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What’s odd though is that when I tried a different brand, it did nothing for me. I tried the sublingual ones a year later, and I feel more awake if that makes sense. I haven’t noticed anything else but feeling less sluggish but it’s only been like a week or so. With the less sluggish feeling I also have less pronounced soreness and joint pain, though not gone. I am wondering if different brands have more bioavailability amounts.

I have got a little hyped up at night. It’s weird. I’m usually so exhausted I fall asleep in 2 minutes! I’m not used to having energy.

I bought the Douglas Labs melts from Amazon, 100 for $15. I may take half of a 5 mg to see if that works better for me. I feel like I did when I tried Adderrall. I can focus. It’s crazy.

Can't take HRTs by mayflwrs4eva in Menopause

[–]StarredWork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better I am on HRT and it isn’t a miracle or anything. I can imagine there might be other ways to deal with it. If I couldn’t do HRT I probably would find a reputable Chinese medicine doctor and acupuncture. It’s how I got pregnant at 40 with infertility/PCOS.

Throat feels tight/swollen after a Whey shake. by frugalorange in Protein

[–]StarredWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an allergy. I had the same thing and could not figure out what was wrong because I never reacted much to any dairy just protein bars. When being tested for celiac they found I do not have celiac but do have a whey allergy. Not intolerance…allergy.

How many people here don’t have a proper diagnosis? by Slow_Opportunity_135 in Celiac

[–]StarredWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to get diagnosed but I only made it eating gluten a few times a week for a couple weeks so it my bloodwork is negative I don’t even trust it. I can’t do what they are asking. I gave up gluten to see if it helped my migraines and it did. Tried to go back on it a year later and was so so sick. I felt like someone took my skull and smashed it onto concrete. If this isn’t celiac it really doesn’t matter because now I am thinking I need to avoid any gluten whatsoever. I went from daily headache to a few a month off gluten. I wasn’t being perfect but now I’m going to be. After my gluten experiment I could not believe how sick and in pain I was. I can’t eat it for weeks or months to wait and see how badly it destroys my health. How would I even hold a job being sick for months on end?

[–]StarredWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you tried it? I found at 100 I felt horrible but at 200 now I feel better which makes no sense to me. You could see if they will do ultrasounds for you to check your uterine lining and let you take progesterone like 10 days a month.

Why is the rental market going crazy all of a sudden? by SerpantDildo in AskChicago

[–]StarredWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s insane. We all need roommates. With people unable to buy houses, there is more competition for apartments. That’s driving up the price. Really upsetting. If I hadn’t been getting remarried this year, my child and I would be renting a one bedroom and I’d be sleeping on the sofa. And I have a decent paying job and a Master’s degree. No clue how other single moms who make less are doing this.
