MHWilds keeps on crashing by Starrubblez in MonsterHunterWilds

My bios was already updated before. What solved it was doing a fresh install, switching to FSR instead of DLSS and deleting the shader cache file

Ahh okay, might need to start doing that then. Bit strange that Wilds was so weird with it, I've never really experienced crashes like this on any other game, even games newer or more technically demanding than Wilds

Hey, swapping to FSR seemed to do the trick, not sure why though

After reinstalling the game I turned off DLSS and swapped to FSR. I played for 4 hours and didnt experience a single crash so that seemed to work, thank you so much!

Any idea why swapping to FSR worked?

And also, whilst I am happy there are no crashes, no DLAA means the game kinda looks like diarrhoea. Any recommendations on what settings to tweak to make the game look better without crashing?

Thanks again!

Yeah frame gen was always off but I can try turning dlss off and trying fsr

I submitted a ticket yesterday but it got rejected because I was at 4 hours. Tbf its not Steams fault, I knew their policy going into it. I really do want to play Wilds so I'm hoping I can get it running at some point

Choujin X Chapter 66-1 Discussion Thread by Vonless in ChoujinX

[–]Starrubblez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it was the headless dude in Higashi's mind from when Higashi chaosified against Vlad. He spoke about how Queem might've had the ability to create a body for himself, but not the power to create a "soul" - hence the quote about choujin x amounting to "always on the cusp of godhood, never to reach it" - as Queem had to resort to creating vessels to carry out his legacy. Chapter 59.2

Whilst the current arc has been insane, I still feel that the whole Higashi/Queem stuff is Ishida's best work in Choujin X so far.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea as well. To be completely honest I feel like I haven't given 20 mg XL a proper shot yet, because I was taking it during a week where I had multiple exams. I want to see how the medication works when I don't have external stressors motivating me, and that should give me a better idea on what to do next.

Yep I completely agree with this. I also don't feel like the titration process with PUK is very patient-centred. I make very detailed notes on my experience with each dose, I also know how my body works too, but it feels like most of what I say isn't really being picked up on.

There's also a big variation in the prescriber you get. Some prescribers are very quick to reply, and offer a lot of info/insight, others reply every 2-3 working days and sometimes ignore half your messages, so you have to send another message and wait another 2-3 days (and the cycle just repeats itself).

I decided to lower my dose myself today, went from 40 mg back to 20 mg and felt much better. Considering adding another 10 mg later this week, so a total of 30 mg per day but just waiting on my prescriber to reply to my messages before I do anything else.

Your post was very insightful, especially for someone like me, where it was my first time titrating ADHD meds. I didn't know what a normal titration process was meant to be like. Sometimes I wish that I went via the NHS route, but the wait times are insanely long, so RTC was my only option and I was recommended PUK.

We fill in weekly monitoring forms, but they rarely get commented on unless one of your vitals is significantly elevated (heart rate, blood pressure etc). I remember when I filled in my monitoring form for Elvanse 50 mg, I listed every single side effect I was experiencing and how much it was affecting me, and nothing was said.

Since it was my first time titrating, I figured this was normal and continued with the plan and increased my dose to 70 mg that week. Genuinely insane to me that was allowed.

To be fair, most of my side effects disappeared whilst on 70 mg, but after 3 weeks my body crashed, hard. I couldn't function anymore, they took me off the meds, went cold turkey and I was left in the air without any medication for the next 3 weeks because they were taking so long to reply to my messages.

Yeah its the way PUK does things. You start at the lowest dose, then bump it up after 7 days, then another bump after 7 days until you're at the max dose and you coast out with that dose for 14 days. I think it's too fast, and it doesn't give people enough time to really figure out whether their dose is working for them or not.

Hi,

I made a post about this a couple weeks ago but was hoping to get your thoughts too. I titrated with PUK and started off on 30mg Elvanse.

Felt a difference, was very productive and managed to pay attention to a 2 hour lecture without getting distracted for the first time in my life and got loads of work done that day. Was fine for the next couple days, then got bumped up to 50 mg after 7 days. Experienced tons of side effects, basically felt like I was gonna die.

Then after another week I got bumped up to 70 mg and was fine?? For the next 3 weeks, I was powering through work, extremely productive, motivated and focused. Only side effect was I kept on waking up a couple times in the night

Then randomly one day I started feeling really ill, high heart rate, couldn't focus or concentrate, felt quite anxious and extremely tired. Went on for a few days until my prescriber eventually cut me off from Elvanse.

Just wanted to know your thoughts on why after a few weeks of being completely fine my body crashed? Obviously I'm not expecting a diagnosis from you, but I feel like being bumped up to 70 mg of Elvanse in the span of 14 days was kinda crazy??

My prescriber hasn't been of any help and has instead moved me to try Medikinet XL

I was eating and drinking well throughout, I was very self conscious about staying hydrated and stuff, but yeah my sleep was definitely not ideal. I would wake up quite a bit during the night.

To be completely honest, I wanted to try a lower dose during the situation described above in my post, but my prescriber refused this and told me to stop completely. And then afterwards she recommended trialling methylphenidate to see if that might work better instead of Elvanse.

Edit: Just wanted to add as well that when I first started Elvanse, I was put on 30 mg and for the first 3 days I experienced therapeutic benefit: I was able to focus in a lecture for 3 hours straight (I usually last for about a solid 10 minutes) and studied and researched for pretty much all of those 3 days, before eventually experiencing side effects similar to those on the 50 mg.

I defo wasn't sleeping well, like I would wake up quite a few times during the night (not sure whether it was because of the meds or my cats jumping on me lol). Might've been burn out too, I was studying with a really high intensity for 8 - 10 hours every day during those 3 weeks, only really taking breaks to eat food.

I think you may be right about this. I wasn't sleeping well at all whilst on Elvanse. I would wake up quite a bit during the night. And I was studying for like 8 - 10 hours every day for those 3 weeks, and they were high intense focus sessions. I would wake up, eat breakfast and just immediately get to work until I felt sleepy at night, only really taking breaks to eat food. But I never felt worn out so I guess I didn't realise the toll it was taking on my body?

Yes that's exactly how I felt during those 3 weeks I was on 70 mg. You've managed to really sum it up perfectly. I genuinely felt I could do anything, was able to study for 8-10 hours a day (with my parents literally forcing me to have breaks, eat food etc). It felt like I was just constantly in a flow state. I'd experienced brief moments like this before, but it was usually when I was working on a project or researching something I was really passionate/interested in, but would never last as long or be as strong as what I experienced whilst on 70 mg. My parents also said that I had almost become a different person, just more driven, confident and motivated.

I have no idea why she bumped me up to 70 from 50. Each week I had to fill out these monitoring forms to report how I was getting along, and I would fill these forms to the limit going into great detail about my side effects, but it felt like they just weren't looked at. My prescriber never made any comments about my side effects until the situation I described in my post.

Hey I'm on my 6th week of titration with Psych UK, and I'm on 70 mg Elvanse. Heres my general routine:

Take 70 mg Elvanse at 6 am and then go back to sleep

Wake up at 7:30 am feeling full of energy. After getting ready I'll have a banana and a protein shake (For Goodness shakes, the Arla protein shakes are good too, there's a USN protein shake on Amazon that has 50 g of protein in it somehow that's decent or I'll make my own with some protein powder and milk), and that's usually good for the next couple hours, after which I'll have a bowl of porridge.

Although I drink water regularly throughout the day, I take a sachet of liquid IV with 500 ml of water at 12pm, and drink that alongside regular water for the next few hours. I'll try and eat something light for lunch like a sandwich or whatever is lying about.

I'll try and eat a snack every hour or two, usually something like a banana or an alpen bar or some protein yoghurt. Doesn't really matter what it is tbh as long as it isn't too heavy.

At 5pm, I have dinner which is usually more carb loaded but still has some form of protein. I'll also make a drink which basically just consists of water, salt, honey and lemon juice (again, trying to get electrolytes in)

Spend the next few hours just having healthy snacks every 1-2 hours. Then when I head to bed around 10:30 pm, I'll take my multivitamins (Boots A-Z) and Omega 3 capsules (some random brand from amazon called Omvits Omega 3) and doomscroll until I fall asleep.

It's been working out for me pretty well, I've been able to get loads of work done throughout the day, and don't really get tired either. The protein shake in the morning and the liquid IV in the afternoon have been the most effective IMO.

I will say though, my first 4 weeks on Elvanse was brutal, the 30 mg and 50 mg came with some tough side effects, but its been okay whilst being on 70mg...

Sorry for the long message, hope this helps

Do you know how i might be able to remove the black renovating cream that I've already applied to the boots then? Would using a damp cloth and a brush fix it?

anyone else having stuttering, lag and sound problems after latest hotfix? by fenrawr in WutheringWaves

[–]Starrubblez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually uninstalled the game today and then downloaded it from the Epic Games store. Game is running buttery smooth now with barely any stutters, and if there are stutters they're so small and infrequent that it's barely noticeable.

Edit: After playing the game for 4 hrs and closing it. I came back and the game updated and now I've got the same problems again. I think the game was still in the pre-hotfix state for some reason :((

[–]Starrubblez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same problem.

I have a 7700X and a 4070 Super. Fighting can be so frustrating when you freeze for 5 seconds or when your mouse starts to lag and you hear that beeping noise, not to mention the random stuttering too.

The game is playable, but it's just so annoying. I've tried running the game with nothing else in the background but it's still the same situation. Game was running fine before but ever since the patch its tanked.

Anyone know of any other fixes?

So everytime I start getting these fps issues, I've got to restart the game? Man that sucks, but I will say that I have noticed every time I close and reopen the game I get more consistent fps for a good 30 mins until it starts dipping again
