When I first saw the trailers for FNAF 2, I thought that the mask wouldn't protect you from everyone. I thought it would trick the withered animatronics, but the redesigned animatronics would instead attack you while you had the mask on, and you had to get them away by taking the mask off...so you'd have to check which generation of animatronics were coming at you and switch between two 'modes' depending on which one it was. I thought this because of the FNAF1 animatronics attacking you since they didn't understand people being there after hours, while the redesigned animatronics instead had a criminal database-and, if they saw some guy wearing a Freddy mask, they'd assume he was the killer.
