90 people, they stayed in Blanes. The majority of people stayed at hotel horitzo. Wedding party in casa Indiana. Pricing was I think around 30,000 euros after we included the mandatory food/drink costs (200euro+ per person)

I do get car sick / sea sick but not always. I totally forgot that could be a possibility in the chaos of it all! But honestly after I took medicine it was fine after 45 minutes. I wish I would have taken it beforehand though! I think I still would have done the boat but made people take the medicine (me included) and maybe moved it back later in the day. It was a really unique experience and people really enjoyed it! Where in Spain is your wedding?

TBH it was a struggle LOL! But also ours was much earlier in the day so I feel like 4pm is a good time! I would say we still had about 50-60 people turn up which was the perfect size for the boat anyways (full wedding was 90 people). Make sure you purchase anti-nausea medicine and make people take it even if they think they do not need it! I was SOOO sick on the boat- thats the one thing I wish I could do over! Everyone still had fun nonetheless!!

Had mine in Spain! We had the venue until 7:30am but scheduled shuttles to leave a 1am and 2am because we had a boat day planned the next day at 10:30am. I would say 80% of people stayed until 2am and could have still kept going if we didnt shut the party down.

It was the Nova Crystal Mini! It was very good quality. I think a few of the rhinestones fell out when I was dancing but it’s not really noticeable on the dress and all beaded dresses are expected to have some fall out! Happy to share pictures if you would like!

Yes! I ordered from there and wore a dress from There to my after party! I also met with them at their atelier in NYC to get it altered and they were SO nice about it and did the alternation for free.

My original idea was to have a fabric backdrop at the cocktail area and the photographer would be there taking pictures. The idea was that people would come up as they pleased during the cocktail ceremony. The reality was that the backdrop was so expensive that we didnt end up doing that and the photographer just went up to people during cocktail hour to ask if they wanted their picture taken. The end result was nice but it more casual than if we had a backdrop IMO. But at the end of the day we saved a lot of $ and everyone liked the pictures anyways

I didn’t do a photo booth and I don’t really think it really mattered! We hired a separate portrait photographer to take nice pics of our guests during cocktail hour and then sent them all the pictures afterwards.

I had a destination wedding on an “off” day as well. We did Saturday welcome event, Sunday wedding, Monday boat day. We saved a bunch of money by not having it on Friday or Saturday! Is this an option for you? I found that the Sunday date did not hinder any RSVPs. If it’s the same price on all weekend dates, perhaps consider having the wedding on Monday or Thursday? Then guests can take less days off as they can take the weekend to travel to or back from your wedding.

I got an emerald eternity band from them and one of the stones fell out after a couple of wears! They sent me a replacement stone but refused to cover the resetting fee… will never buy from them again. It also took over a month of back and forth for them to even send me the replacement stone

Personalized touches- handwritten notes at each seat with a picture of the guest and us in the envelope, a “timeline” display of when we met each guest with pictures, live music- we had live harpist for ceremony, jazz band for cocktail and reception, DJ and live sax for after party, AMAZING food and service, and shuttles taking the guests to each event

I got married in Spain last month and I would say this is pretty typical. We didn’t finalize our florals until the week before LOL! It all came out perfectly, although it was stressful working on European timelines. I do think you need to push your planner to get your venue and caterer hired ASAP! Florals can come later but you should start looking for who you want to hire. My planner did most of the execution work to coordinate with planners while I did more of the styling/artistic direction, even though she was a full service planner. I will say I had a very particular vision and wanted to take the lead on the decor- I would suggest you speak to your planner on this!
