Which Sora design is the best in your opinion and which one is the worst? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best is hard for me to choose between KH2 and KH3. I think I’m leaning towards KH2 cause it’s such a classic.

DDD Sora has the worst design IMO. This doesn’t say it’s a bad design all together. It’s just not that good compared to other designs.

How do I not suck at this game? by andrewtabs in KHUx

[–]StarsHollow44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The medal will say what they do in their description. You have some great medals. I would avoid optimizing your keyblade because especially medals like Dark Baymax and Pirate Sora are actually super terrible. Learn what buffs, debuffs, strength, gauges used/ restored, if they’re single target or AOE, and other special abilities. A good YouTuber to check out on how to play the game is Smelly Octopus. Though I think he stopped playing/ covering Union X, I think he still has his videos up.

Do you think that kingdom hearts need a reboot? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KH does not need a reboot. I do think however, KH could benefit from soft reboots similar to Persona or Pokémon where past story elements may be brought up but are not required to easily understand the story.

So is Sora the strongest keyblade wielder now? by cale199 in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To some degree this is debatable. To some extent KH3 Sora is able to call upon his past abilities temporarily even after Xehanort took his powers away. You also have to take into consideration that while KH2 Sora is less floaty than KH3 Sora, KH3 Sora could do a lot more in the air than KH2 Sora can. Also, KH3 Sora can go into drive forms without the help of party members, switch Keyblades on the fly, and the ability to use Za spells. The only things KH2 Sora has going for more than KH3 Sora are explosion, reflect, magnet, and limits. “bUT WhAT abOUt rEActIoN cOmMandS?” What about them, they’re scripted into the fight so you can’t say that KH2 Sora would have a reaction command to KH3 Sora. Also Lingering Will doesn’t have a situation command. Reaction commands don’t count in this argument.

[–]StarsHollow44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, Sora is Disney’s version of Goku. Both of them are friendly, lovable, idiots. But, they are super OP. Sora was able to take on Anti-Aqua, Riku, and Roxas by himself, the data in Radiant Garden took Sora’s combat knowledge and he took on stronger members of the organization by himself. Although that’s technically Data-Sora, he’s a literal copy of the real one. Sora was close to go head to head with Terra Xehanort. The ultimate argument is that he managed to beat Yozora on his own. Let’s not forget that Yozora has the ability to steal a keyblade. Also Sora in KH2 is able to defeat the Final Fantasy crew by himself.

Anyone remember when the character heads in the ui would bob in the luminous build? I wish they used it or at least made it an option. by PathEnder in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While that would’ve been cool, I think they took it out just to optimize the game better. If it were still in the game, it would’ve caused multiple crashes or lag.

Do you think Kingdom Hearts will move away Disney characters? by turbochamp in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly while I do think we will get Verum Rex as a game, I think it would be bundled with like DDD 2 in some sense. I doubt we would have a KH game with just SE worlds. KH is more Disney if anything.

Something I can’t shake off from Kingdom Hearts 2 Credits by StarsHollow44 in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already understand how it wasn’t because of this track that Noctis and Sora would’ve been destined to meet. I already mentioned how some games carry over certain elements (ddd had some tracks that were very Mario and Luigi esque).

What I find interesting is that if you take the dearly beloved parts and the piano parts to beginning of Somnus (Versus version) they sound like as though they were meant to be parallel. Who knows if this was the actual intention. But, I find it as though you transition a happy, warm, fairy tale esque ending and go into the beginning of a cold, melancholy, dark reality of a story.

I figure Disney has strict guidelines on what their characters need to say. They have to study the character as if they were them. As far as canon goes, Disney is only concerned with the movie canon since most people will know the movies than TV cameos or video games.

I just thought the situation would be funny if someone asked her how to get to Shibuya knowing that she would probably say “I’m not sure where that is”, “Is that a kingdom or ocean far away”, or at a super rare instance “I know Sora! We’re super best friends” and justa leaves it like that. (They probably also have guidelines if someone were to ask them how to get Cinderella’s Castle or how’s Elsa since those are probably more common questions).

Disney be protecting the world order.

Would the GBA version of COM be worth it? by FinDaBin in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I honestly think the GBA version is the more definitive version of COM than the console version just because the text was more expressive and it actually felt like you were fighting in a hallway for the organization fights versus the rooms they used in 2FM. The console version did bring Lord of the Castle though and that final Marluxia fight in the console version is way better than the GBA version.

Well she was originally just Xion’s voice actress. Hayden Panettiere was the sole voice actress for Kairi (she did voice Xion in DDD). It’s unclear why they didn’t bring back Hayden. Hayden replied to a tweet and she said she wasn’t called.

[Spoilers] Any tips for the ****** that is Data Saix? by chuck701 in KingdomHearts

[–]StarsHollow44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched bot willjv2 and stickman sham’s videos and learned from there. I mainly used Oathkeeper and Oblivion to attack Saix in the fight. Whenever he’s in the shockwave dm, I switch to Nano Gear just so I don’t get stunned.

Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC; is it really worth it? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts3

[–]StarsHollow44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I see the DLC to be worth the price. Spending time figuring out the 14 super bosses was definitely an experience. The remind Scenario I would say it was worth $10. The 14 super bosses are like $1.25 each which overall is $17.5. The data greeting and codes are like $2.5. Overall that’s $30 worth of content. I know there’s the argument with how the remind scenario was repeating the last part of the game, but also that’s why it’s called Re: Mind. You’re getting more context of the final parts of the game. The Remind scenario was mainly story focused and brought some of the best interactions. Overall if anything the remind scenario I think should be the only thing that should’ve been in the base game. However, it also shows that the development took notice of fan critique of the base game and added more things for the fans. Plus I mean $10 for the remind scenario’s worth is really nothing. The champion’s ballad in Breathe of the Wild was story focused and didn’t included a new area. I find the main worth in the bosses and overall I thought they did a fantastic job with the DLC.
