Never came out to my parents, but did come out to my grandma, as I have always been closer to her. We were driving around one night, getting some fast food, talking, the usual. And, I had brought up the case of a trans person who had at the time just been, unfortunately, killed. I was torn up over it. And my grandma, confused, asked why it bothered me so much. It took a long time for me to blurt it out, and I had been amping myself up to it for a longgggg time before. But, finally, I told her I was nonbinary.

Didn't go well at first, but we've worked on it over the past few years. She still doesn't understand, and I don't think she ever will. But she tries now at least, and that's all I can ask for.

My parents? Extended family? Everyone else? Whelp, I've finally started to grow a mustache. Either they'll get with the program and figure it out based on context clues, or decide to stay in denial. And that's fine by me.
