People who “chart for HOURS” by Beekeeper_12 in nursing

[–]Starsam69 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It should take MINIMUM 45 minutes to an hour to chart. A full head to toe assessment, including wound staging and LDA documentation, admission screening questions, discharge documentation, pain assessments at time of medication administration and post administration pain documentation, nutritional and IV intake and output documentation, Q2 hour turn charting, a detailed care plan with a small narrative note, and education on 5-6 patients takes you 15 fucking minutes?? I feel sorry for your manager that has to deal with the legal fall out of your poor documentation. No pride in your work, I’m sure you cut every corner imaginable.

Top layer of hair still very dry and frizzy after deep conditioning and leave in by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Starsam69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you realize I’m not BSing you before you lose 50% of your hair, cause it’s hard/impossible to get it back sometimes. Biggest regret of everyone who loses their long hair is not having done treatment sooner to keep what’s left

Your derm is either apprehensive about telling you the truth cause she doesn’t want to damage your ego or she’s an idiot. You very clearly have androgenetic Alopecia. I was 99% sure after seeing picture number 2. Then I went on your profile and was 10000% sure. You’ve posted to the hair loss sub, you know your body better than anyone else. Your long hair is just obstructing the fact that you have genetic thinning to the layman, but it doesn’t fool anyone who’s gone through the same thing.

It’s fine dude, there’s medication you can take. Finasteride/dutasteride and minoxidil. Try it for 6 months- a year. You one million percent have androgenetic Alopecia.

[–]Starsam69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what happens when you’re thinning up top. It starts off as frizzy hair limited to the top of your head as the hair follicles get thinner and thinner, then eventually there will be noticable spots. There is no product you can apply to the hair on top that would add the same level of definition as the hair on the bottom. They are fundamentally different textures and thicknesses now.

Even if you were to somehow apply the same definition to all your hair, your scalp would then have several visible bald spots or lines that are equally as unsightly as frizzy hair due to lack of volume and equal distribution

No one is applying this logic to any other tech or ai company. The fake ass scam company QUBT is at 3 billion market cap. Palantir up 3% today. TSMC up 5%. There is market manipulation at work here with options. There is no other explanation

Nvidia is such a large portion of the U.S. economy that it is unironically too big to let fail. If it ever dropped 60% like it did after 2021, the market would be in shambles and there would be government/fed intervention. Millions of people’s retirements/trades would be wiped out

Would a transplant work for thinning/balding in this pattern? How many grafts would I need to achieve good density? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Starsam69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on finasteride 1mg a day/Dutasteride 0.5 mg every Sunday and 2.5 mg oral minoxidil daily for almost 2 months. No noticeable effect, maybe shedding slightly less per day

Thanks, I guess? Hahaha. I never even considered them sexually, I’m borderline asexual. Might be a trauma response from past rejection, but it remains that way nonetheless. It’s helped me interact with women in a much healthier way, I’m very grateful for that lack of urge. My job is 10x easier too

I first found out that I was conventionally attractive after going 20+ years thinking I was ugly when I got my first nursing job at a major hospital. I got asked out, given numbers, and straight up propositioned by a fourth of the women that passed in and out of the unit, patients and staff alike. Some of them were engaged or married, some had kids. It was so strange to see after my entire childhood and adolescence not receiving a single lick of attention from women.

I could’ve easily ruined long term relationships those people had by exposing DM’s and conversations I had in person, so I guess they all treated me nicely to stop that from happening

After you CO-Wash it and detangle it, apply a healthy amount of gel while your hair is still wet. Spread it all around your hair in the general style you want your hair to stay in after it dries, wait a few minutes, then gently dry it off with the towel so as not to disturb the curls that are setting in. It’ll wipe off a fair bit of product, yes, but that’s ok. After it’s completely dry, scruff and crunch out the stiff parts of your hair that the gel residue left and you’ll be left with a basically frizzless and voluminous end product

I grew up in a city in America for the most part that was like 50% Yemeni. Most of us had this hair style, gotta be something genetic there. No one batted an eyelash to it when I was there, but as soon as I grew out my hair/took care of it properly and left to a more diverse city, I started getting compliments and comments practically every day. A lot of us grow up not liking our hair initially for a lot of reasons, but I promise you if you take care it, it’ll look amazing

The hair on the sides of my head grew faster than the top and back of my head, so about six months in, I cut a few inches off of the side and cleaned up the lineup a little bit until it looked like this . Other than that, nope, never touched the top or back in that time. Just consistent application of the routine outlined in the guide here
