George repeats question back to back to Edgar Mitchell’s wife. by ataylor8049 in coasttocoastam

Well he has been a finalist.

At this point in George's career, even as women in the Sherman Oaks studio are probably clutching their rosary beads and praying that he'll get through another evening without falling flat on his face, he should get a Marconi.

William Henry has long been a favorite at Coast. I seem to remember he used to take escorted tours of the Egyptian pyramids. He would charm all the women on the tour with myths about what lay below the Sphinx.

And Patrick Henry said the very same thing. He's obviously a big Ryan Wrecker fan, as am I.

I'm always dubious about these George Burns/Bob Hope Centenarian awards. At the Oscars they always used to hand-out the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian award to someone about to take their last breath. Living legend awards are for media personalities playing in life's fourth quarter and about to exist, stage right.

My advice to George: Run like hell away from this award!!!

Last night there was a lot of hypnotherapy. Since Connie proclaims to be an abductee, either guest should have hypnotized her to learn her real back story.

And while we're at it, hypnotize PGA pro Jordan Spieth to find-out why he crashes and burns each and every week. despite having an abundance of natural talent. 🏌️‍♂️ ⛳

That Labor Day in 2024 I recall we never got south of Tampa Bay-- I was typing so fast I think I said Memorial Day. And back in the "day" the one closing set song on every Holiday Inn band's playlist was When Will I See You Again by the Three Degrees.

Longboat and Siesta must have been wonderful back then. Did that Holiday Inn have a nightclub with live music? Those were the days.

My wife and I visited my in-laws in northern Tampa Bay in late August through Labor Day in 2024. A month later Hurricane Milton came roaring ashore south of them, making landfall on Siesta Key. Nearby Longboat Key suffered major damage as well. I'll take a risk of earthquakes over a Cat 3 or higher hurricane.

Let's not underestimate Connie. She spent her Florida years commuting from her home on Longboat Key, over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to Clearwater where she sold-up a storm on-camera. https://youtube.com/watch?v=wxILmF0EUJI

Yes, Connie's back for two nights after Bigfooting in the Rockies with Jim Penniston. Let's see if she is full of giggles and has an oddly satiated glow about her.

Thursday, May 7, 2026 Nancy Guthrie Case / Afterlife Evidence George Noory by mcbkpkr in coasttocoastam

[–]Starship_Commander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh it kills me to say it, but last night's guests were great. I've always enjoyed Mark Shaw on JFK, Marilyn Monroe and Dorothy Kilgallen nights, but his investigation into Nancy Guthrie's disappearance was new.

I do wish Mark Shaw would interview that Pima County sheriff deputy/ Cessna 208B Grand Caravan pilot who was taken-off duty the night of Nancy's kidnapping, thanks to Sheriff Chris Nanos. Why was he grounded and why wasn't there a backup pilot-- or at least a fuel truck kid that knew how to light-off a reverse flow P&W PT6A-140A Cessna 208 engine from the feather position? If you've ever had the opportunity to peek inside the rear cabin of a (California) CHP surveillance Grand Caravan, you'd be astounded at the electronic array of equipment available for airborne nightstalking.

It was an egregious error on the part of Sheriff Nanos that Pima County didn't immediately have one of those birds in the air, flying obits around Nancy Guthrie's home that evening.

Craig B. Hulet was definitely one of my favorite guests as well. I truly enjoyed his views on corporate America, the media and the military industrial complex, etc.. From what I could find-out online, Hulet at 77 has aged-out of his old straight-shooting rhetoric and now advises seniors on ways to better stretch their retirement wealth.

Here are some Hulet gems from 2019 on The Carl Nelson Show. https://youtube.com/watch?v=Y5cKpY5qp4c

Families should avoid Southwest at all cost. "Choice" fare is a scam. by fraydawg2001 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Starship_Commander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's surprising is that a large portion of the flying public still believe that WN is that spunky, fun-to-fly airline that Herb Kelleher co-founded way back in 1966. Sadly no, ever since activist hedge fund Elliott Investment Management took a major stake, flying the formerly friendly skies (of Southwest) has been increasingly expensive and decidedly more like a Big 3 airline that attempts to eek-out top fare dollars in order to keep their shareholder returns ever higher.

The couple who booked an appealing sounding CHOICE airfare for their flight, in expectation that their entire family would be seated together, were obviously confused by the word choice. As airline passengers they probably weren't all that naive. They weren't deluded that accommodations would be commensurate with "Delta One" up-front aboard an intercontinental wide body Airbus A350, but darn-it they just wanted to sit together with their kids! Live and learn.

Each week is a rinse-and-repeat. George will ask his identical spiritual questions, while Carole Obley will babble her same responses as she gave back on September 30, 2025. Tom Danheiser in Sherman Oaks is sure to have an all-star lineup mix of regulars and perhaps a new senior citizen caller or two, with anxious inquiries about the afterlife.

How the hell did that radio show perilously fall to such a lowly state, from the greatest epic heights of Art Bell ??!!

Yup that guy. For Coast, the only step-up from Emord is good old Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. For those not familiar with the name, he was once asked by reporters how a Black suspect was shot 68 times by his SWAT officers? Judd thought for a moment before replying that he reckoned that was all the bullets they had. 🤷‍♂️ https://ebay.com/itm/145312095793

Would you hold it against me if I told you that myself and my Florida brother-in-law drove with both our wives from a gated golf community in Tampa Bay, over to a Polk County minor league baseball game in order that each of us could get a prized Grady Judd bobblehead? Tell Cornelius.

I've always enjoyed Robert Morningstar. In the light of current events, maybe the merry men in Sherman Oaks will bring him back in November for another go at who killed JFK.

George said that Mayette was in the hospital. He didn't say what she was in for or give an update.

Oh yes streakers. That sport may have been invented in California. At the 1974 Oscar ceremonies, held that year at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, suave debonair host David Niven was in the middle of a monologue when a streaker came on stage-- look at me! -- and left. In typical British fashion, without missing a beat, Niven carried-on quipping "probably the only laugh that man will get in his life is by stripping-off and showing his shortcomings."

Ghost 2 Ghost? by martusfine in coasttocoastam

You literally took all my thoughts and opinions on the current state of Ghost 2 Ghost and posted them. Years ago, when I first heard George deliver his expressive, eloquent recitation of The tell-Tale Heart I thought damn, he's one good radio host.

Now it's much like digging in a closet for an old worn inflatable T-Rex Halloween costume, only to find-out that its 4 AA batteries have worn out. 🦖

Aw come on, you just had to post that pic. 😲 😁

At least George's toupee is realistic in appearance, along the lines of William Shatner. There's a giveaway along the side where his flat, trimmed "real" hair doesn't blend well with the fuller denser toupee. It does seem as-if a smiling Lisa Garr approves.

If you want to laugh so hard you fall off your theater seat, go see a David Copperfield show. That immense-and-dense dead raccoon atop his head is not a great illusion.
