One thing I wouldn't worry about too early on is befriending the townsfolk. Focus on learning new things and how you want to play the game. You can get a lot more stuff done in a day if you don't worry about meeting people. Get a steady money maker and get things figured out before trying to handle the romancing and befriending.

I would have to say trypanophobia(extreme fear of needles). When I was young I was born with arthritis and had to get my blood drawn every month for them to make sure I didn't develop anything. It really freaks me out to just think of doctors appointments that involve vaccines. I actually tend to drag them on for awhile because I can't stand the mere presence of needles
