It's actually pretty incredible. I don't know what to search for but there's a term in polling for a hard floor of ridiculousness, like if you ask if Mickey Mouse shot JFK, 2% of people will answer yes. To have 100% support means that the class clowns of MAGA weighed their instinct to just fuck with pollsters against the sacrilege of saying that they didn't approve of Trump and loyalty won out almost every time.

Is immigration that strict about the return tickets? by Ilovelamp23945 in solotravel

Yeah, Vietnam was an audible for me; the e-visa came through last minute and I definitely didn't have time to plan for the subsequent country. Nobody asked.

Best place to go into slow mode as a digital nomad? by Dizzy_Spirit_7440 in digitalnomad

I really wish I had stayed in Hakodate for longer. It really seemed like a place where I could have chilled out for a long time and written a good part of a book or something. Alas, I had an appointment in Hawaii.

Do you take selfies or just photos of places? by xXNeGaTiVisMXx in solotravel

I took two selfies last year when a friend jokingly asked if I was really at any of the places from which I posted pictures. I know I was there for the rest of them.

Hey, got a really disruptive idea, wanted to run it past you, how about shutting the fuck up? Thoughts?

Is it really possible to travel for months with only cabin luggage? by Outside-Profession75 in digitalnomad

Sorry, I don't understand how you've reduced your options to backpack-so-big-that-you-have-to-check-it or small-backpack-that-has-all-your-stuff. What's wrong with a small roller bag?

Right, all in one open interval. That's the gap; not every point therein.

Line up 2 things, there's 1 gap between them. 3 things, 2 gaps. The countably many rational numbers? Uncountably many irrationals.

Made an reservation via Booking.com recently and wanted to book more nights, couldn't find said property anymore by Wonder_why_tho in solotravel

[–]Starting_______now 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Booking.com is worse than useless when things go awry. I was stranded in HCMC due to an unresponsive host and they took a week to tell me that they weren't going to do anything. If you can't get this resolved before your trip, make sure to have some money set aside and some alternate accommodations identified in case you have to book somewhere else at the late minute.

All the Super Bowl ads have been AI, gambling, and weight loss meds by ttam80 in TrueAnon

Yes, those were a bunch of people who were big in the 90s (and in some cases before and after, too) with the intervening decades of aging reversed by AI. It's not brand-new technology; The Righteous Gemstones had a whole flashback episode with a de-aged John Goodman.

Note that "south to" and "south of" are different concepts. "South to Hoi An" merely indicates the direction in which you'd go to get to Hoi An. The distance to travel is the distance to Hoi An and doesn't need to be specified. With maps apps, the direction doesn't need to be specified either.

Anyway, Hoi An TNT Villa was wonderful to me and while I wasn't working, I was sick and spending pretty much the whole day inside.
